"I was enrolled in the online program and it was a very positive experience for me. The faculty are fantastic and will bend over backwards to help you in any way they can. I would not say that the classroom experience was the same level of engagement as being in a physical classroom but they attempt to make it engaging and pursuing an online degree is always going to be give and take. Their career services are great for things like networking locally and resume building but they don’t have many internship partners unless you’re local. I was lucky enough to network myself through LinkedIn and land a job before graduation. I was also fortunate enough to be awarded a Panther Preferred Scholarship which allowed me to graduate with a Bachelors degree, a corporate analyst job and less than $10,000 in student loan debt. As far as earning potential I started at $45k in my final semester and rose from there. I now regularly field offers from recruiters at the $60k-70k range. So although less known the school is respected. All in all I believe my education was a fantastic investment and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Greenville to anyone who needs a flexible option for school."

"I had a great college experience while attending Greenville College. I was a married, mother of 3 boys under the age of 5. I loved the program I was enrolled in. It was awesome for my schedule. I was able to be a stay at home mom during the day while attending classes at night. Greenville partnering up with LCCC made it possible for a married mother of 3 to successfully complete her Bachelor's in Elementary Education. I'm a proud alumni that I'm enrolling back with Greenville to obtain my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction. With the help of this scholarship money, I will be able to help pay for tuition and books! Thanks for considering me for this scholarship."

"For me a small college was great, I think it was very important for me to start at a community college too."

"Greenville College provided an excellent education in the master's of reading program. The instructors applied and modeled all of the best practices and concepts that were taught in their own presentations and lead classrooms. It adequately prepared me for my job and has prepared me to very knowledgeable in my career field. Technology and assigned texts was integrated on a regular basis as to not feel "talked to death" or "read to death", but the readings were great too. The chosen texts were the opposite of boring, provided great examples and classroom scenarios, and included different content areas, diverse authors, and information for all grade levels with instructional strategies. The need of improvement is helping students network for job opportunities. I suggest using the facebook group that was created after my cohort to be included in the syllabi at the beginning of the program and encourage students to post links to job openings in their district and continue to share even after graduation. I also suggest hosting an education career fair or at least include graduate students in the career office e-mailing list for opportunities that are sent generically to the undergraduate students. "
