"This school is different from others in that you are taught to challenge literature and interpret it in your own way. The knowledge and experience of the professors is unbelievably vast. The professors empathy and willingness to work with you has given me a a desire to learn. I have not graduated yet but am grateful for every semester at this school. I have appreciated the warmth and caring demeanor of the schools staff. Its nice attending an institution where the staff want to see you succeed and are willing to help you do so. Two thumbs up!"

"I am currently enrolled in the Integrated Recovery for Co-Occurring Disorders program at Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies. I am more than satisfied with the quality of the education and instruction of the staff. As a student with no prior experience as a counselor, this program has provided me with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to work with a broad range of populations. From the application process, to enrollment and throughout each course, HBFGSAS has provided exemplary support, direction, and encouragement. The instructors not only deliver educational material in an understandable and professional manner, but they also bring their own experience as professionals into the online classroom. Through feedback throughout my internships while enrolled in HBFGSAS, it is evident that the education provided in this program greatly exceeds what is expected of clinicians in the field of substance abuse counseling. I would highly recommend this program to others."

"I am a 4th semester full-time student in the IR COD program at the Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies. My experience thus far has exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend this program to all who are seeking a high quality online Masters degree in addiction counseling. With its emphasis on dual diagnosis and integrated treatment, I chose this program because I believe that it offers among the broadest spectrum of potential licensing applications of any related degree program that is currently offered online. The quality of the academics, a dedicated, responsive faculty and administration, and small size of the school allow for an attention to the individual student that wouldnt be possible in a larger college or university online program. Hazelden Betty Ford is among the most recognized and respected names the treatment of addiction, and I believe that their reputation for excellence is reflected in this graduate school that bears its name."

"I am in my 7th semester at Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School. I absolutely love this school! Everyone from the professors to admissions to recruiters are amazing, helpful, and kind. I find myself bragging about my school often because I feel to blessed to be part of such an incredible program. My co-workers joke that I am a recruiter because I cannot say enough about the incredible experience I have had. This is decision you will not regret!"

"I am currently enrolled as a Graduate student at Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies. If I could, I would give them greater than 5 stars. The quality of the education as well as the professionalism of the staff at HBFGSAS is amazing. There is not a program available online that will prepare its students for the field of mental health and addictions counseling the way that this institution does. The amount of support received by staff as well as the professors is incredible. They have put a lot of time and effort into making sure that each student walks away with a degree that not only will set them up for a successful career in the field but will continue to be a resource even after graduation. It is an honor to be part of this learning environment and I am thrilled that I can learn from some of the best in the field."

"They do not adequately prepare students in their IRCOD program for licensure and are not CACREP accredited. Dont waste your money and go to a school that is accredited and will help you seek licensesure in your state. I wish I had gone for the MSW as you will make more money and it is excepted nationwide."

"I am in my third full-time semester of Hazelden Betty Ford's Integrated Recovery for Co-Occurring Disorders program and I have very impressed, both the with the quality of education provided by instructors and in the interaction I have had with peers. As a former alcohol and drug counselor pursuing mental health licensure, I have been delighted by the integration of course material on both mental health and substance use disorders and their treatment. I would recommend this program to others."

"I am just beginning my education at Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies. I have recently finished the orientation course and am VERY impressed with the attention to teaching in various formats at varying difficulty levels. The Professors appear to take a genuine interest in how you learn best as well as how well prepared you are for the program. I have already recommended others to look into this program!"

"The Hazelden Graduate School of Addiction Studies is a progressive and riggorous program. It was an honor to become a student in their Addiction Studies with Integrated Co-Occuring Disorders program. Not only am a graduate student there, but I am also alumni of their treatment program for health care professionals. I was a nurse for 15 years and became addicted to opiates and alcohol. When I arrived, I was near death. Slowly over the course of the treatment program, I found myself. I then moved into a sober living facility after completing addiction treatment. Within nine months, I was asked to be the manager. I availed myself of the responsibility and continued to live there for nine more months. Then, it was time to get my children back. After I moved out into my own apartment with my children (I got them back 50 percent of the time), I was asked to manage two of the sober houses without the requirement that I live there. During this time, I went back to get my BA from Southern New Hampshire University. Upon completion, I applied to Hazelden Graduate School. I am proud that I will someday join the ranks of the counselors that were trained at Hazelden Grad School. Because of my extreme financial need, I would be honored to recieve this scholarship and promise to put it to good use."
