"The process of getting setup as a new student was so easy going and the staff really cared for the students. It is a community school but the professors seemed to enjoy their job and were really good at it. I got a lot of useful information that I took into the working class world. I then got into usf to further my education and I wouldn't have had the necessary tools if it wasn't for the faculty at HCC !"

"I attended Hillsborough Community College and overall had a pretty positive experience. It’s a great option if you’re looking for an affordable way to start college or plan to transfer to a university later. The classes are manageable, and most of the professors I had were helpful and genuinely cared about student success.The campuses are convenient if you live in the Tampa area, and there are a lot of program options to choose from. That said, dealing with administration can sometimes be frustrating—things like financial aid and advising can take longer than expected.Overall, I’d recommend HCC if you’re motivated and looking for a cost-effective education, just be prepared to stay on top of deadlines and follow up when needed.Read Less"

"Although you have to schedule a time to meet with an advisor and you don't have a set one (which means that you get told different things sometimes) I had a great experience. I got to choose which electives to take, I followed the path that I set (they give a pathway but you don't have to go in order unless there is a prerequisite). I do wish that there was not only a learning fee because that made prices go up. Also, they don't tell you that if you use the access in the course you have to pay for it at the end of the course which can be tricky if you don't have financial aid or if it was already disbursed.Read Less"

"Great school to transition to a university. This is my experience I can attest to. I graduated with my associate's degree at HCC. This was a very good and smooth experience. I would recommend this school not only because of my experience, but because of other student's shared opinions I have been privy to as well."

"Tell us about your college experience.The school was a horrible fit for me. As I was in a math and science heavy major I found it very disappointing that there were only hybrid classes available and no option for traditional classes. The added prerequisite requirements for specific classes was absurd and increased the amount of time it took to graduate.Would you get the same degree if you could start over?Yes, I used it to transfer to a 4 year State university with an accelerated master program.What advice can you offer other students?Find a school that works best for you. You are paying them for a service, don't let them make you think otherwise.Read Less"
