"Pacific Christian College has been my favorite college, by far. After I graduated, the name changed to Hope International University. Even though I did not get my bachelors degree from HIU/PCC, I had the name added to my college graduate ring. I made lifelong friends while at HIU/PCC. I have a chosen family made up of people that I met while in California. My relationship with the Lord grew tremendously while I was in school. My mission field has become the classroom at a Title 1 school where I am working to increase motivation and effort in the classroom. HIU/PCC helped give me the desire and passion to work for those who do not know they need it. I keep a picture of PCC and the HIU emblem in my classroom. They are reminders of some of the best times in my life."

"I loved attending Hope International University. All my core professors challenged me in the area that I wanted to have expertise in. My biblical professors challenged and helped my growth with God. Lastly, the Campus Ministries Pastor was always there to pray for me and be there for support. At first I did not know that I had such an amazing school, but after graduating and now attending Fuller Seminary, I can say with confidence that Hope had amazing community, challenged me, and prepared me for my future."

"I became a Royal in 2012. I wasn't sure if I would like the school at the beginning, but I reminded myself how important an open mind was. Soon enough, I fell in love with my major, the classes, the professors, the students, and everything about Hope. I'm very grateful to have been a Royal and continue to be one now that I am in graduate school. This scholarship would help me pay off some student loans."

"I transferred to HIU in hopes to grow not only academically, but in character. The professors are not only intelligent beyond belief, but wise. They care about how you do scholastically as well as how you do in everyday life. The curriculum prepared me for real life scenarios and provided me a work ethic that I became proud of. It wasn't just about completing assignments, but rather, it was about growing, understanding, and responding to what I was learning. As I was wrestling with whether to go back to school for my masters, I reached out to those same professors who walked ne through those earlier days. They still care about me and my career and discussed the opportunities that could come from taking my education a step further. Now I feel confident in going back to school to get my masters. More than that though, I am actually excited! So I am very thankful and grateful to my old school and welcome my new school, Arizona State University, into my life with open arms. To grad school I go!"

"In all honesty, Hope changed my life. I received the greatest education, while playing the sport that shaped me into who I am. I highly recommend checking out this fantastic university. With its small class sizes and encouraging professors, Hope is the perfect fit."

"Hope gave me the breadth and depth learning I need to become successful. I taught me to be an expert in my field. The courses and curriculum challenged me to think about my future impact on the world. I enjoyed the freedom to share my ideas and opinions with my fellow students. It truly was a great learning experience."

"Hope International University is by far the best school for those wanting to receive an excellent education through online learning in both secular and religious degree programs from undergraduate to graduate level studies. Not only has this school made it possible to get a fully accredited degree online, but they have excelled in having a quality teaching curriculum and professors who teach each course. This school has combined education excellence with Christian principles unlike any other school I have attended. Their online school environment is friendly, engaging, encouraging, stimulating and exciting! A person could not ask for more in a top-notch quality school!"

"I think Hope's program is great because it's accessible, especially to those who didn't major in Psychology as an undergraduate. It is a COAMFTE accredited program, which has its benefits when it comes to portability. The faculty and staff are kind, approachable, and helpful, and seem to genuinely care about our well being as students. My main struggle is that the class work doesn't seem very rigorous. I'm concerned that I won't be prepared well enough for the MFT licensing exam when it comes around."

"I was working full time and living off campus during my completion of this degree. The combination of online and on-campus classes was a very convenient opportunity and made it possible to work and have a social life while in school. The work load was manageable though extensive, peer-to-peer support was both readily available (for those who pursued it) and necessary to get the best learning experience possible. I am very pleased with the diversity of coursework, some was very difficult, other assignments were easy. Everything stretched me. Hope, being a Christian University which employs exclusively Christian professors allowed me to see a depth of relationship between peers, superiors, and subordinates refreshingly hopeful."

"The faculty really challenges the students to think about the theories. Also the discussions are very open and everyone is free to voice their opinions. It's also very diverse. Age, ethnicity, and economic, and gender. So far there are no Cons."

"This is a great school and grad program. The teachers are very helpful and accessible; they want to best prepare us for our field and it's seen in the way they interact with the students and provide resources for us. It's a private school so that means the costs are higher and that makes it more difficult to afford. However, the Financial Aid available makes it doable."

"Overall the MFT graduate program is wonderful. The reason the affordability of living is so high is because the area its in North Orange county is pretty high. One of the perks about being in the grad program at hope is that you have all your classes at a the orange location. There is no parking permit required and you don't have to deal with all the business of college town at hope and CSUF. The internet system is a little outdated. They use outlook instead of gmail like most universities. They seem really adamant about finding you a job after you are done with the program to complete your hours. They seem to have a huge network of employers as well. The fact that they are co accredited makes this university stand above the rest! The biggest downside of the college is the fact that they have no financial aid besides loans for the graduate program. The program is really expensive and there is no student scholarships from the school available to struggling students. The financial aid office really has a hard time in helping the students with outside scholarships as well. The over all work load seems difficult but definitely do-able for the working professional. The second year of the program seems to be higher in difficulty due to the practicums and the supervised hours that needed."
