Howard University Reviews
My overall experience at Howard University was amazing! The amount of networking opportunities that students are awarded allow the university to stand out among others. Aside from the networking opportunities, my favorite aspect of Howard University is by-far the tight-knit community between faculty and students.
The school academically was great. The teachers were very helpful and knowledgeable. Campus life was fun and off campus life was a great experience as well. Definitely would recommend this school. The diversity was a definite plus and also living in DC with all the employment opportunities another plus.
It was a very pleasant experience, in which you can acquire new knowledge to meet people Although sometimes I find it hard some things because while he worked, but for me it was very good and excellent teachers
Howard University was a great school. The lessons that I learned about being confident and proud of who I was and where I come from was absolutely priceless. Although it was 1999 when I graduated, I still remember hanging out in "The Yard," step shows, the library and reading books about African American history. My education program was excellent and I remember how I cultivated my love for teaching. It was an excellent experience and I am glad that I made Howard University my choice.
I highly recommend attending Howard University or another HBCU to receive a multi-cultural educational experience.
Howard teaches the student to be in charge, be persistent, be relentless, and follow-up. Half of the time you have to teach yourself the classroom material, you have to constantly follow-up with professors to grade papers and let you know where you stand academically in the class, you have to skip class to go to the financial aid office 10 consecutive days in a row to make sure your application and/or refund will be processed within efficient time. Howard definitely prepares you for the grind of the Real World!
