"The pros of my graduate program are as of yet unknown, I begin the program this summer. I have taken classes taught by the Director of the Masters in Social Work Program and am impressed with her knowledge and teaching ability and style. Using this as a guide, I think the pros of the program will probably be that the steps to take for success in the program will be well laid out and easy to understand and obtainable through hard work and perseverance. The cons of the program may be that while carrying 15 units of education, we will also be asked to accumulate 240 hours of internship during the same time. The coming year will be exciting and challenging."

"This is a wonderful program for the working adult or parent....or both!! It is long and rural, but that is what drew me to it. The classes are engaging and interesting."

"I feel the pros of this graduate program is being in an a rural environment, rural is a smaller population and confidentiality is so important to my clients life, and is the bases on weather i get personal information out of them. the cons of this environment is that diversity is limited. So if your a student trying to work with a very complex population, they may not get the full field placement they really want to help with future goals."

"There are a whole lot of pros attending Humboldt State, the area itself and all the trees that surround the school is enough to fall in love. The faculty are all very supportive and the classes are all small. The class will not be larger than 20 students."

"The MSW program had a unique course load that was designed to increase skills with rural communities and Indigenous people with. many scholarships available. The only negative is the coastal weather is often foggy, but even that can be escaped by driving inland a few miles to hot weather and great swimming. The redwoods and coast offer have many beautiful areas to explore and spend time in deep contemplation or having a picnic with friends."
