"I've had a great time. The course selection is varied, and they offer some excellent programs. The professors and administrators are friendly and accessible. The school is located downtown to a vibrant area and a bustling legal community. Honestly I could get into more detail on each of these positives if need be. The only negatives about this school are the parking situation--if you can walk or shuttle, that's much better than the limited parking, which is understandable given that it's a downtown campus--and the occasional on-campus crime report of an attempted mugging or suspicious character. However, I'm pretty sure these incident rates are on par with other campuses, especially urban ones, and I've never felt the slightest bit unsafe here.Read Less"

"Cons: Public transportation to the school is not very good. Parking around campus has becoming increasingly harder Pros: Location is excellent. Allows for plenty of networking opportunities with lawyers and judges around town. Faculty is amazing and always willing to help."

"Even this is a new program, it brings me a wonderful chance to study legal aspect of my bachelor's major. Professors in this school are full of high-level experiences and they inspires us a lot in their subject. I cannot ask for more than this. My school maynot have a high rank in the list, but what it helps you in not only knowledge, real knowledge but also opportunity is undeniable. All I want to say after a year in this law school is: Thank you."

"Located in a major metropolis, there are lots of opportunities to network and participate in internships/externships. The faculty is invested in the students, making themselves available whenever is convenient for the students. The work is challenging, but there is never a shortage of resources to help you succeed."

"Pros = very supportive faculty and staff, great student mentoring program, affordable, great location in relation to the local legal community, joint degree programs, and specialized law programs (i.e. health law, intellectual property, environmental law, corporate business law and criminal law programs) Cons = disorganized at times, the staff doesn't work well together, the administration sometimes forgets to focus on the education of the students instead of the bureaucracy of higher education, and very few scholarships for non-first year studentsRead Less"

"IU McKinney offers at least one thing that other schools cannot compete with: location. Located right in the heart of downtown Indianapolis, McKinney offers the opportunity for students to work for the top law firms in the state and the most sought after public interest positions in the state, all while attending school full time. McKinney also offers an evening program for those who work full time. The diversity at McKinney is great and continues to grow."

"PROS *IU Mckinney is really a great especially if you want to live and work in Indiana. The location of the school is one of its best assets. *The faculty is wonderful and has high expectations of students. They are available to help you and are responsive to emails. *I love having (free) lockers to use and the microwaves and refrigerators around campus. *The security of the law school building is good. *The bathrooms are kept clean. The Deans Tutorial Society (DTS) provides 1st year students with student - tutors, which is great because these tutors provide valuable insight to the professors and final exam. CONS *Lack of diversity especially when it comes to minorities. However, the school has made an tremendous improvement in the last two entering classes. *Computer access and printing - It would be nice to have more computers and printers available for student usage. *There is one student organization that seems to be kept at the pedastal and a good amount of student organization seem to be neglected. *It is hard to get parking near the law school at certain times of the day, especially in the morning even after 8am. "The school is great with first year students, but I feel like the teachers could do better for the upperclass. Parking and traffic is always awful. Scholarship support is great and there's lots of programming to support 1Ls. More scholarships for continuing students would be great, especially those not from the area to offset the cost of living in a major city."

"The faculty are great, and the curriculum is great. But the professional development office doesn't do a whole lot to help secure employment outside of Indianapolis. The overall campus administration is disorganized and often causes traffic/parking jams and other such inconveniences. The law school is improving, but has a bad habit of notifying students of valuable events, internships, & scholarships at the very last minute."

"I really appreciate how my school is filled with intelligent and hard-working individuals who also are kind and hospitable. Classes are engaging. My peers could succeed at any law school or firm, but they also look out for each other and show that Hoosier hospitality. Indiana's biggest firms and government buildings are within walking distance of the university. I am very glad I chose Robert H. McKinney School of Law!"

"While McKinney Law may not have the academic of other schools in close proximity, they more than make up for this with their superior networking and internship opportunities. Being the only law school in town and being located in the state capital definitely offers unique advantages that are not found at other law schools."

"Campus safety is not always the best. I receive emails multiple times a semester about a student being robbed or attacked etc. The campus is urban (it's in the middle of downtown). However, much of the crime occurs when it's dark. One should always use caution. Overall, I enjoy the school. The faculty is easily accessible. My major complaint, however, is tuition. If you are an out-of-state student, be wary of attending this school. Tuition is ridiculous. Each year I am denied in-state tuition. I hope this helps.Read Less"

"The pros of attending IU McKinney is the accessibility to the faculty. I have never had an issue scheduling meetings with my professors. The career development office is great! They do their best to assist with student's career endeavors. The career advisers keep the student's abreast of employment opportunities. One thing I do not like about the law school is its lack of diversity. Additionally, I do not like how open the campus is to non-students. The school is located in the heart of Indianapolis.
