"I love Iowa State University and the School of Education. The people in the School of Education are wonderful and are committed to ensuring that all students get the highest quality education available. Student support staff are fabulous and caring. There are many opportunities for assistantships in the university and the School of Education. The school and town aren't the most racially diverse in the country, but there are a lot of different groups to assist and support diversity."

"Benefits of my graduate program is a very high professor to student ratio. All the instructors are available to students by numerous means. Pullbacks are the program is not as well funded as larger schools."

"I think good think about ISU is its in great campus town and it has a awesome campus. The thing that holds this university back is the network of that university. However that varies from deprtment to department. There are some departments which offer very good graduate programs."

"Iowa State University offers something for everybody. That sounds cliche, but here, it's actually true. I entered open option, or undecided, and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. The open option advisers help you pick classes that sound interesting to you. They know which questions to ask to help point you in the right direction. Once I got into the Greenlee School of Journalism and Mass Communications, I feel my confidence and abilities skyrocketed. The teachers, professors and advisers in the Greenlee School are absolutely fantastic and genuinely have your best interest in mind. The alumni community is strong and supportive and always willing to hire Greenlee students :)"

"Because of the mandates set by the AIA, the program is rigorous and challenging. Although the program is excellent and highly rated, I believe that we need more funding and alumni support for the program as a whole."

"While I was a student the program offered the ability to delve into student development theory as well as social justice theory and incorporate practical applications. Numerous experiential opportunities, from research with faculty to studying abroad using a critical lens, were accessible to students. The faculty were involved and supportive with students at all levels. The surrounding area is inexpensive with a helpful bus system (the CyRide)."

"Not the most cosmopolitan place in the world to study, but the typical grad student wouldn't have the time even if it were! There's plenty outside of class to keep you occupied, though, and living in Ames is reasonably affordable. The ISU Econ program itself is well-established, with excellent faculty and staff. Classwork is hard--but one would expect no less--and experienced and knowledgeable professors are quick to encourage critical thinking and push students to consider potential research topics as soon as possible. Access to classes in other departments is also high-quality. Econ students sometimes take MS- or PhD-level elective courses from the Statistics and Mathematics departments. In all, a good program in a pleasant small town with an enjoyable football culture."
