"This is my second degree. I've had lot of experience with teaching and taking online classes. The quality of curriculum and teachers is substandard. In two years I've had one excellent teacher. Most grading is arbitrary with little to no explanation. Teacher don't seem to know the content, probably because most of them are adjunct and walk into teaching blind. The books, on-line content, and lectures don't match. The syllabus changes at the whim of the instructor without accountability. Most emails to staff go unanswered until you press them. Some teachers never answered questions by students. JWU used to be a good school. The online part is terrible.Read Less"

"This online culinary certificate program is incredibly hard to grasp. I feel as though I was learning culinary on YouTube. Reaching out takes at least a day to get any help you have a week to complete your modules and I feel bad for anybody who has not taken culinary before because really really difficult to get this done. The expectation that this takes 15 to 20 hours a week is not correct."

"Don't let you take 4 classes your first semester. Throws your plan off if you need increments of 4. Then when you want to take a few extra classes for fun tell you that you can't use financial aid for them. Then question why you would want to keep full time status with 4 classes. Waited until a few weeks before classes start to tell you this information. Take forever to dispurse your financial aid to your account to help cover costs like books and supplies. Some classes felt rushed and didn't learn much. Was not even told about scholarships or other options. Was also never told about options for having a minor until last semester so they could try and get you to stay.Read Less"

"I have a 4 year food science degree with JWU, foolishly i thought there grad program would be as good as their undergrad. i started their online undergrad program only to come to find out it’s one of the biggest money scams i have ever come to face. The JWU online grad program is unorganized unsupportive, has professors that do no teach or provide help for students when asked. unresponsive staff does not disclose full information waste of money"

"Being a student at Johnson & Wales University has given me the chance to better myself and to help me continue to grow in my field. When I was first looking for an MBA online program I was hesitant, I needed something that fit my work schedule, was flexible, allowed me to take my classes part time and most of all affordable. Johnson & Wales has been nothing but supportive of the journey, the professors that teach the online courses are extremely understanding and make themselves available to you. Even being an online student Johnson & Wales still made me feel like I was an actual student on campus, sharing announcements, achievements and safety alerts around their campus. They are affordable as well offering payment plans so you don't have to take out any additional student loans. Anyone who I have come in contact with have been nothing but helpful and kind, I am so happy to have chosen them as my option to pursue my MBA, they made me feel comfortable from the beginning and I always still feel like I made the right choice.Read Less"

"The online MBA program is a really great program. The classes are diverse and once you get the hang of it manageable as far as the work load is concerned. The professors are great and I like that the discussion boards and articles are related to the "real world" and not just something out of a book. I still have a couple more semesters before graduation but so far I am very satisfied."

"A great, hands on work immersion based university. You take actual major specific courses right away--not just general education courses."

"Great culinary/hospitality school. Still need to improve there business track and provide more assistance for students graduating with a business degree to get a job in their field. Expense if you don't qualify for a number of scholarships! So do Good in High School and take all the AP classes you can get. I would also suggest going to a state school or at least a cheaper one for core credits that will transfer. Safe some $ and get more of an experience!"
