"I am currently a graduate student at Lenoir-Rhyne University, the Columbia South Carolina Campus. I am in the Masters of Divinity Program, which is offered through Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary. As a student I have been exposed to great professors and great course material. The professors are real world people who offer information that is challenging and inspiring. The school also offers a variety of other masters degrees, such as Clinical Counseling and Physician Assistance. Their degree programs fully equip students to be successful in their chosen field. The course work is rigorous and they offer many opportunities to interact with fellow students and the community. The school offers classes predominantly on campus during the day. This can make it difficult for students that work full-time jobs. However, the school does offer some solutions such as partnering with other schools that offer online classes. Tuition in competitive and they have several options for financial aid and assist you with obtaining much of the necessary resource to complete your education. They are also very helpful in connecting students with internships as apart of their degree programs. The campus is small and sits close to downtown Columbia. The campus is fairly safe; they have several security officers keeping an eye out for any suspicious activity. They also have several housing options, from apartments to townhomes. The campus is fairly quiet, as most students are in their late 20s to early 40s and have families. Overall, the students are very friendly and inviting. I would highly recommend Lenoir-Rhyne to any student interested in the programs that they offer."

"For those who are seeking to a higher learning institution I would highly recommend attending Lenoir Rhyne University. As alumni I would have to say that University offers a wide variety of from extracurricular activities from sports, intramural sports, academic club and groups. Lenoir Rhyne is able cater to everyone specific needs. Since the university is smaller, it allows for one on one academic relationships for those who need it and do not. I would have to say its a great feeling walking into class knowing that your professors knows you name and can personally help you before and or after class. That is something you typically would not get when attending a large, four year, public university. The degree I decided on was a Bachelors of Science in Community Health. Community Health is a very board degree, but with the help of my adviser and professors I was able to find a area in the health field that best fit me. I am thankful for opportunities and experiences I was able to gain from Lenoir Rhyne and would hope that if you are able to check out the campus, or begin your academic career there, that you gain everything I received and more."

"LR has a great sense of community and is constantly working to expand and rise to the expectations and changes happening in our world. When I attended, many of the courses opened my mind to new ideas and I was able to connect material from different subjects in a way that previous education had not been able to do."

"The Lenoir-Rhyne graduate program excels in many areas, including the level of knowledge of the professors, their willingness to help you, and the quality and relevance of the knowledge gained in the classroom. On the other hand, there could be a wider variety of electives offered, and the curriculum is somewhat inflexible, restricting your availability to customize your academic experience. Overall, however, the quality of education at this university is high."

"Lenoir Rhyne University is a great school. The degree program is fantastic and creates students that not only know what their major requires, but students that are well rounded. The professors are great and I love how it feels like a family. If I had the chance to recommend this school, I most definitely would. When I go to school I feel like I learn information that could be applied to various jobs and life skills."

"I have only been enrolled in my graduate program for almost 2 months but I love my future profession! The tests are difficult and we teach ourselves most of the material however, in the field of Occupational Therapy we will be teaching ourselves new practices so its great to learn to teach ourselves now. Hickory is a small suburban yet rural town, but has a little bit of a social scene. The graduate program was relatively inexpensive for such a growing and competitive field. The financial aid was not helpful. Overall I feel I will be prepared for my future as an Occupational Therapist."

"This program has many strengths. The faculty is nearly always accessible and truly do care about students' success. The campus is beautiful. The number of students is not too large, but not too small either. Everyone on campus is extremely welcoming. If I could change anything about the program, it would only be to offer some of the classes online, as many graduate students have full time jobs and need those accommodations."

"The Counseling program is one of the oldest at Lenoir Rhyne, almost 30 years now. This new Center for Graduate Studies in Asheville has been very well-thought, and the professors are at the top of their game. I am very excited to be part of the inaugural class."
