Lewis University Reviews
Student & Graduate Reviews (7)
I had fallen in love with Lewis University when I was a senior in high school. The campus was close to home and had beautiful landscaping. I had began as a nursing major which unfortunately was not the best experience. However, I changed my course of study to biology which turned out to be a life-changing decision. Although I was scared to start over with a new major, I became acclimated quickly for the professors were so easily approachable and the new classmates were immensely friendly. The professors in the biology program challenged me in ways I never knew I could be challenged. Each professor was trained differently so each had his or her own specialty which made each class much more interesting. Besides the amazing professors, the other staff members were wonderful as well. I had never felt unsafe while walking across campus because the campus police frequently walked around campus. My time at Lewis University was certainly a memorable one and I am glad I attended this institution for it has now prepared me for graduate school this coming fall.
Lewis was a professional and wonderful school to attend. I loved the teacher to student ratio and I felt that it allowed for strong communication and consideration. The school was lonely at times because it is populated with many computers but life on campus was alright.
Lewis University by far has given me the most rewarding education and advice to be able to excel in my field of study as well as with serving as a just and honorable individual. It is a beautiful campus and it continues to grow to cater to its students and faculty. I have met many wonderful colleges and professors at Lewis and continue to believe that it will bring in and bring out the best in people.
Lewis University's second degree bachelor's of science and nursing prepared me for my profession in nursing beyond my expectations prior to starting the program. In both of my jobs after graduation I have been able to excel in patient care and leadership opportunities. The diversity of the clinical placements throughout school helped me feel comfortably taking care of a multitude of patients with varying disease states. I especially took value in the critical care course and clinical experience as it prepared me for my current career in the medical intensive care unit at Loyola University Medical Center.
I had great success with Lewis University. I went to one of their satellite locations in Albuquerque NM. The staff was very helpful and the teachers not only gave a lot of positive direction but were actively working in the fields that they are teaching. I am very organized and personally motivated so their 8 week class structure worked perfect for me. I was able to take online and classroom classes which was great for my schedule. Overall I have nothing but good things to say about Lewis University.
It was different and challenging, but it was also fun. I was on my own for the first time and I had a lot of responsibilities that I had to get used to. It was fun learning new things and meeting new people as well.
It was easy, nice teachers too. I feel like my school did not help with work placement.
