"This school is only out to get your G.I. Bill money! BEWARE VETERANS! Weeks on end every month, there was never enough or sufficient supplies to weld. Deadlines for assignments and projects are still due at the end of each phase despite the lack of supplies. Attendance is still crucial! The majority of instructors do not care to help students, they will tell you if you miss a day you need to ask what you missed from another student to get caught up. Learning is individualized from books, YouTube videos and students who currently weld at their job who don’t mind lending a hand. Very nice facility, but very poor learning environment. For $18k you pay to reuse scrap metal to weld on and again you’re crunched on time with getting assignments and projects in due to the lack of supplies. Most times you do have take a day or two to cut your own metal when they do have supplies. You also have to worry about machine and equipment parts being in stock in the vending machines to do specific welds which can hold up your progress. A lot of your time is wasted beyond your control. Most classes start big, but mid-way through more than half of the students are gone and even less than a handful left towards graduation. BEWARE - if you miss more than 4 days or “too many” days in their book to include excused absences, you will still have to pay the WHOLE $18k tuition for the welding program no matter if you only attended 8 days of school or 5 months of school. Read the fine print when you enroll - It’s a CONTRACT! If they drop you for any reason, know that the G.I. Bill will NOT cover the full tuition. Their formula for what you owe after your G.I. Bill is lie. You will not receive the remainder or any of your federal pell grant (if applicable). You will not receive your BAH if you do not compete the whole phase; so don’t get dropped a couple days before the phase is over or they will report you didn’t attend the whole month. Expect to also have a student loan with Lincoln Tech after. Strongly DO NOT recommend this school. This school puts on a facade.Read Less"

"I attended Lincoln Tech. in Paramus, NJ for Business Administration Specialist in July 2007 to March 2008. I went to all the classes, which were Monday through Thursday. I passed my class but couldn’t attend the graduation ceremony because something had come up. With that being said, I was told they would mail my Certificate for BAS to me. Well, I just paid off my student loans in December of 2019 and have yet to receive my Certificate after numerous attempts back and forth to the school in person, and I even tried calling them, demanding it as well. It’s been about 11 1/2 years and still no Certificate.......Read Less"

"Lincoln Tech in Whitestone Queens is a terrible school. They want your money and nothing else, they do not prepare you for much of anything. They push you to take your ASE's. They force you to pay more for classes if you miss a certain amount of minutes. They do not help you after graduating to provide you with a decent job. They are a front for money. The treat their instructors terribly. They don't have enough instructors for a classroom of 15-20 anymore. They will group you into classes of 40 and the hands on training is a joke. The instructors are always off doing who knows what while the students are just hanging around like high school kids, and those who are actually trying to learn something, are provided with no assistance. I finished the program with high honors and a 99.8% attendance and excellent grades. When I left the institute, it was difficult to find a job. I was unprepared for the real world. Everything they feed you is a fairy tale. They push you to take the ASE's and get certifications. You can just buy the textbook yourself for $150 and teach yourself. Then grab a job at any basic repair shop and learn from there. Save yourself from going to this useless institute.Read Less"

"There are no words to describe how terrible this school is. Never mind the textbook learning with outdated equipment to work on, you cannot even feel safe parking your car in the lot. Multiple cars have been broken into as well as people shooting out windows with bb-guns. It is not a safe environment. Lincoln tech cares about 1 thing only.. the money they make. If their stocks are doing well, they don’t care. It’s full of lies, the initial tour is amazing until you spend 15 months here and realize spending $100,000 on a university sounds better. The offices are disorganized. Instructors are nice and knowledgeable but have no updated equipment to teach on. I recommend looking for a different trade school. "THIS SCHOOL IS A BUNCH OF BS WHEN YOU FIRST SIGN UP AND TAKE THE TOUR YOUR LIKE COOL THIS IS GONNA BE A GOOD SCHOOL THEY HAVE EQUIPMENT, PROFESSORS, ALL THAT BUT AFTER YOUR 2-3 MOD YOU BEGIN TO REALIZE THAT EVERYTHING THEY SHOWED YOU IS A LIE YOU HAVE LACK OF EQUMENT TO WORK ON AFTER 105 YOU WILL BE COMBINED WITH ANOTHER CLASS SO INSTEAD OF HAVING YOUR REGULAR 15-20 PEOPLE A CLASS YOU GO TO 40 PEOPLE A CLASS BECAUSE THEY don’t HAVE ENOUGH PEOPLE TO TEACH YOU TAKE CLASSES THAT ARNT IMPORTANT YOU SEND MOST OF THE TIME IN TEXTBOOKS AND NOT HANDS ON AND WHEN YOU GET A CHANCE TO DO THE HANDS ON THE. "Lincoln Tech is by far a useless trade school and only care about making money. They don't care if you graduate or not. If you have a learning disability they won't help you. They just push you on to the next class. Miss a payment and your out. Shame"

"The program there was not as in depth and the instructors would not explain thoroughly. The students are ghetto and rowdy. Did not get a job after going to this school and honestly I wasnt prepared. They have to make the program explain hvac better and go deep in the science."

"They only care about stealing money from students. Tuition is so High that when you graduate you become a slave to your debt of about $15,000.00. You don't need to go to Culinary school to work in the Kitchen. Just apply for an entry job and/or apprenticeship. This school is a scam and all other school that are technical that pays minimum of $10 after you graduate."

"Greatest regret of my LIFE!! After you graduate you will owe 18k and your entry wage is $10-12 an hour!! I SUGGEST YOU RUN. If you really want to work in the culinary field you don't need to go to school. I figured that out when I worked in New York City. They usually hire Latin people who doesn't have papers and they just train them in the kitchen. So if you want to start tell them that you will work to be trained. Because you will end up in the bottom anyway wherever you start. And by the way our head Chef never went to any culinary school. He worked at Burger King first then got his experience from there then move to our French restaurant.Read Less"

"Currently go to school here now and wish I read reviews before I did. No one who works here is on the same page and they will give you false information and then other administration will get mad at you when you were told something different. The teachers do not teach material and barely seem qualifying. The first mod teacher Mrs.Harris seems very nice but she plays favorites and is never in order with things. The English teacher is a racist and has made very degrading comments to a classmate of mine and all the school said was "this has happened before". The A%26P teacher literally does nothing and has the funds teacher do all her stuff. She just talks, doesn't explain, and then expects you to know everything. And god forbid you ask for help I've been told straight out "too bad" and "I cant help you with that you should know". I don't recommend this school honestly and am scared to see what is to come but I have given so much money I regret it.Read Less"

"I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANYONE INTERESTED IN GOING TO LINCOLN TECHNICAL INSTITUTE IN NEW BRITAIN TO LOOK ELSEWHERE!!! These mf don’t care about you. They don’t care if u understand the material or not. ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY! Don’t waste your time. And if u happen to ignore all I’ve said so far, when or if u fail a class on days, NEVER APPEAL. They NEVER do anything about it. But for evening classes, they get excused, no problem. Oh and the rules change EVERY SINGLE DAY! One person can get an excused absence and u might not, simply because they have favorites. There were clinical instructors who reworded what you said because you not supposed to show them up. They are the only one who should know this kinda stuff. You will leave this school taking antidepressants and anti anxiety meds. I have NEVER experienced such horror. This school is a nightmare. NEVER GO TO THIS SCHOOL!!! You will fight for grades and information so much more than actually learning what you need to. It is the worst school I have ever attended in life. "I go to the coulumbia campus in Maryland and would like to thank Mark baile he has taught me alot first in a intro class and in basic electric he is a wonderful teacher and a awesome person my time at Lincoln tech has been amazing as I love to learn and grow they are helping me make my dream come true. "Most instructor are lazy the just sit outside under a tree. You have maybe 2days in class then you pretty much have to learn it all by yourself on the internet. It's just a waste of money in all honesty. Financial aid is terrible they tried to kick one kid out completely for a paper he had to return to Mexico to get and when he came back they no longer needed it. Just a lot of bullshit with this school. Unfortunately I am stuck here for a few more months."

"Lincoln Technical College Marietta campus was great. Ms Diane Walker in Career Services helped me with finding a job in my field. Ms Monica Williams is the bomb.com with her teaching skills!!! Thanks Lincoln Technical College!!! Ms Rudolph, Ms Gray and NTHS are great!!! I love being involved with NTHS!!! Mr. Capozzi is a great listener when there is an issue!!!"

"I called the Lincoln Tech Somerville, Massachusetts location to inquire about the medical assisting program and an advisor in admissions was very rude, sarcastic (he laughed at me beneath his breath), abrupt and he had a total lack of etiquette in how to conduct a conversation with me as a potential student. He did not want to answer any of my questions and wanted to treat our conversation as a quick chit chat. He accused me of having a hang up when I asked the specifics about the program. I was severely unimpressed and turned off by his lack of enthusiasm to even talk with me. He acted like I was some uneducated random looking to inquire about a program that I obviously couldnt possibly afford because I mentioned applying for FASFA. He was very quick to act as if no details about the program could be discussed until he met me, as if it was a chore to tell me about any of the specifics about the admissions process. He clearly does not need to be in this line of work. I was so turned off by our conversation that I called back to decline my appointment with their admissions department. I will be taking my business elsewhere. He was a complete unimpressive representation. His rudeness, abruptness, lack of decency to even formulate a productive, decent informative conversation trickles down from somewhere. I give this school 5 thumbs down.Read Less"

"A professional environment that requires a professional attitude. I havent graduated yet but Im sure Im on my way thanks in part to the staff members at Lincoln tech. It would be efficient if there were a more in depth screening process in order to ensure the quality of student matches the facilities of Lincoln tech."

"DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY IN THIS SCHOOL!! I wish I would of read the reviews before coming to this school. This school could careless about the students. They make it seem like the school is the best and you get this and that but it's all an act just to get you to enroll. They dont put effort into working with the students. The school president Mr.Dawkins does not do anything at that school. Hes never involved with the students and barely engages with them and not even abit concerned about them. You never see him unless it's time for him to promote the school to get more students enrolled and trying to show as if he is involved. They only give you a certain amount of time you can miss school or be late for each class. If you miss all those minutes, you have to retake the class no matter what your grade is and have your graduation date pushed back, and you have to pay an extra thousands of dollars to retake the class. They dont care if your sick, If your mourning, if you dont have nobody to watch your kids, nothing, they still take that time away that you missed, and you only get to do the work that you missed IF you have a excuse but your grade still goes down. The grading system they have is horrible. You could have gotten 80 to 95of your assignments passed but it only moves your grade THE MOST 5 but if you get low grade on a assignment or did alright you grade drops drastically. They rather you fail and repeat a class instead of actually passing the class to make more money off of you. They have us paying for books but the classes dont use the books. Everything is done on the computer, the text book is on the computer. They lack heat in the school. They put the heat on the lowest setting. So if your cold, you HAVE to buy a Lincoln tech jacket. They wont let you wear your own or sweater and if you can't afford to buy they jacket at the moment you either get suspend or asked to leave the school. They barely want to spend money on new tools and equipment. We have to use old equipment that's been reused and broken apart for months and years, and have missing tools. They bought a "few" new tools a few months ago because students were complaining about it. Students made petitions with that school and have meetings with the staff to hear students out on how they can make the school better but they never changed anything or comprised with what some students tried asking for. Many students dropped from this school because of reasons like these, and even staff has left that school because of how they are treated. This school dosnt think we are adults that have big responsibilities we are sacrificing to be apart of that school. They think we are children and most times treat students as if we are. The female staff in the education department let some guys get away with certain things that the school says are against the rules but when it came to me, a female student, they bug me about every little thing. Some instructors in that school brag and are proud that they are failing students. It's so unprofessional and sad.I've had an instructor tell me and other students he doesn't care about us or our grades. That just shows that this school could careless about you. The higher up staff and some instructors are friends on a personal level and will side more with each other than the students. They also make graduating students to write a "good review" about them. As long as they are receiving money from you, and raising tuition like its nothing, they just sit back and enjoy it all while students are suffering because of the school.Read Less"

"The Medical Assistant Program that Lincoln Technical School offers prepared me to have a rewarding career in the medical field. I learned many different skills that are beneficial to me and to the patients. The instructors taught me how to perform EKG, CPR, and how to draw blood and through the process I became certified on all of these. Career Services (Debra Williams) was so helpful in locating a job for me. She never gave up on me until I finally landed a job that I really wanted. The staff were always helpful and very professional. The instructors were knowledgeable on the subjects.Read Less"
