"I will always be in love with Loyola. Loyola Marymount University, a small, private, Jesuit institution located in Los Angeles is the total package when looking for somewhere to get your bachelor's degree. I came to Loyola straight from high school and I can honestly say that it was the best decision that I have ever made. I am currently a senior communications studies major with an emphasis in public relations and marketing. Throughout my entire time at this university I was encouraged by faculty and staff to join clubs, network with fellow students, and to become a part of something that I was passionate about. That was what I first loved, they cared about my passions, they cared about "Jade" as the student. Second, being a communication studies major in Los Angeles is very competitive and Loyola set me up and gave me the resources to have the best chance of finding internships in my field of study. Coming up on my senior year I am proud to say that I have had 3 internships and am working on a 4th and that is all because of my university driving the fact that internships are necessary in my field of study to get a job in a career that is related to my major. Lastly, the education experience is comparable to none. Being a small university of only about 5,000 undergraduate students, the class sizes rarely reach more than 22 students per class. This really allows me to engage in class, have discussions, and most importantly to build a relationship with my professors. I am able to learn at my own pace and ask questions if needed, and you aren't afforded that simple luxury at larger universities. Loyola Marymount University is the total package: a beautiful campus that values passion within their students, a well rounded educational experience, and a promising future upon graduation. I mean, what's NOT to love?"

"I believe the program is well rounded and diverse, providing its student with competitive and knowledgeable skills to apply to the work field. Unfortunately the program is incredibly expensive and often difficult to manage."

"Loyola Marymount University created a partnership with Teach for America to give full-time teachers the ability to receive their teaching credential and master's in two years. This program worked around the full load of teachers to ensure efficient classrooms where we could learn to perfect our craft. One of the more challenging aspects was the money needed to pay for the program. Although given a financial aid award, it was challenging to manage the cost of living in Los Angeles while also paying tuition on a teacher's salary."

"This program is excellent for those of all theological interest, whether pastoral or academic. There is a diversity of classes offered, and all cater to working professional schedules. The professors are available often, and all have been encouraging and helpful in and out of the classroom. Although the degree is expensive, it is worth the price because Loyola Marymount offers an unparalleled network of scholars and professionals in any field of study. Our professors publish frequently and moderate highly acclaimed academic journals. Even in their expertise, they are happy to take on students to help them with these endeavors, giving them experience and exposure."

"The pros of the School of Education Masters program at Loyola Marymount University: -Teacher attention and support are top-notch! -Workload is challenging, yet relevant to today's issues in education. -Campus and surrounding students emit a "pro-learning" environment where people are always studying (so I have to study too!) - Professors have impressive background and experience that brings the classrooms to life. The cons of the School of Education Masters program at Loyola Marymount University: - this is the FIRST year we must pay for parking - Could use more CSET examination support - Needs an Education club/network - Lack of seminars featuring special guests"

"The graduate program is great at this university. The small classes makes the quality of education extremely beneficial. The relationships between students and professors are very personable and entails great communications. The small classes also makes it easy for students to get to know one another better. It forces students to reach out to new people and gain the best of their education through dialogue. The cons of this school is the financial accessibility for low income students. It is extremely pricey and financial aid does not provide any grants. There should be more financial aid given to students in need."

"Loyola Marymount is a great school academically. I feel that the schools provide resources needed to get the best education possible at their university. However, I believe that it is not financially accessible for students that can not afford their expensive education. There is not a lot of financial aid, and students are left in the hole after graduating."

"I feel that attending grad school will help develop professional growth and feed my intellectual needs. It will provide me the necessary tools to be able to one day lead a successful preschool programs. Unfortunately, attending grad school is very expensive and therefore can become discouraging. I know that sacrificing now will pay off for a better future."
