"Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine is a great place to receive medical training. The professors are extremely knowledgeable and personable. You get a lot of hands on experience and they go out of their way to prepare you for a residency program. The school offers a lot of different financial aid opportunities as well as help with academic concerns as well."

"MSUCOM was a wonderful place to enroll for my medical education. The instructors are top notch and the networking opportunities for physicians hoping to practice in MI are incredible. I would definitely choose an osteopathic education again, as it equips you to deliver more holistic patient care and develop excellent bedside manner."

"Pros: -Promote and educate the philosophy of osteopathic medicine. -Provide medical students not only with a strong educational basis for the field of medicine but to also produce competent and compassionate osteopathic physicians that treat the patient as an individual with a holistic approach. -Community outreach programs within various community throughout Michigan. East Lansing, Downtown Detroit and Suburban Macomb Township. -Camaraderie among fellow students without the cut throat competitiveness that some medical schools encourage. - No ranking system. Only Pass/Fail. -Support for students in all aspects of their medical career both professional and personal. Cons: -Compacted and fast paced courses, which are now being remedied with an ever-evolving curriculum. -Loan reimbursement based on housing of East Lansing campus and does not consider the more expensive cost of living if deciding to go to one of MSUCOM Southeast Michigan campus sites. (Detroit or Macomb) -Lack of choice in deciding to purchase course pack or not. Some students prefer the textbooks and do not utilize the course pack, but are required to purchase the course pack within the tuition hence increasing the amount of tuition a student has to pay back at the end of graduation."

"Michigan State offers a competitive, yet friendly program. The faculty and staff really want students to succeed and are willing to go out of their way to make you the best possible physician. The East Lansing campus is very large, which allows for many different things to do around campus and provides a large diversity of students. While the campus is big, the doctoral classes are all in one small area, so you never feel lost. The school really becomes your family and I wouldn't have chosen another school looking back on my choices!"

"Overall, MSU College of Human Medicine is a competent medicine school. However, because of its community campus set-up, discrimination and tension exists between the students which the administration consistently ignores. I feel that as a student I have no voice in improving or changing school policies. If you can live with that, it is a fine school."
