"I LOVE this school, it is literally the BEST PROGRAM OUT THERE!! The main reason why I love this school is because, during finals, there were no Tests or Quizzes you had to wreck your brain to study for. During finals week, you had to write a 3-5 page paper about what you learned in the course. Writing papers, in my opinion were the best, it helped me really put in perspective what I can and have took away from the course. The teachers and counselors were so encouraging during the Adult Program. You are working and taking care of a family, also in class?? They understood and worked well with those busy adults!! Also, in the Adult Program, you are in class with the same people every night, they turn into family and people that are there to encourage you over time!! Once I have graduated, I was able to get a great job outside of minimum wage and I am so proud of myself! Please, look into this program, it will change your life!! TRUST ME!"

"MidAmerica Nazarene University has a wonderful Master's program for adults that are currently in the workforce. They make it possible to get an advanced degree while also working full time."

"MNU was an amazing experience. It wasn't a typical university experience, which was the greatest thing. With only 1200 undergraduate students, we were a family, not just a student body. While college wasn't the greatest years of my life, it did lead me to the best years, and the professors and friends I made have inspired me in so many ways."

"College can be one of the best times in your life if you're open to the experience, both academically and relationally. Learn all you can!"

"I enjoyed my time at MNU. The tuition was doable, the schedule was accommodating, and the teachers were great. While it is a faith based school, they do not push their beliefs on you. Generally a teacher will do a devotional and ask if there are any prayer requests at the beginning of class, but is not preachy in any way."

"The mental health track of the Masters of Arts in counseling program covers many aspects of mental health. They educate the students on a variety of traumatic situations, from natural disasters to abuse and neglect, and provide the best education on ways to respond with trauma- informed care. This is a diverse and accepting graduate program. It is appropriately competitive to get into and challenges students to become their best, so that they can, in turn, provide the best treatment for their clients."

"My program was 100% online which made the social aspects of the program null. I think there were opportunities to improve this, however, as students we were really separated from each other without the opportunity to network. I live close to the university and feel that the university is in a safe neighborhood with plenty of outside restaurants and activities. However, you would need your own car, as there is not a mass transit service for the surrounding metropolitan area."

"Lots of turnover among the professors and poor internal communication. They have a great reputation or I would not have moved here and given up so much to come. Just disappointing that their growing pains interfered with our experience. It seems they have the "kinks" worked out now."

"Since becoming a graduate student at MidAmerica last year in the Masters of Mental Health Counseling program my outlook for obtaining my "dream job" is bright. The staff always goes out of their way to provide feedback and help you succeed in your coursework. MNU makes the counseling program convenient for adults working full time by allowing courses in the evening and online. MNU's counseling program is one of the few CACREP accredited programs in the nation that contain both blended courses on campus and online. I am so thankful for MNU guiding me along my journey of reaching my life long dream of being a counselor."

"Great school with a good reputation but very costly, make sure you have savings or you have a great cosigner that can help to pay for school"
