"I absolutely loved Millikin! I came in as a transfer student after completing two years at a community college. The faculty and staff immediately made me feel like I had been there from day 1! I loved the smaller class sizes, which allows you to have a more personal relationship with the faculty, as well as making them more approachable! I loved my degree program as well! From day 1, they have you involved in classrooms, with observations, internships, etc. When it comes to teaching, having hands-on experiences in your teacher preparation program is essential! The education faculty genuinely care about you as a person and educator and want you to succeed. You can go to any of them at any time for guidance and they will do what they can to assist you. They have high expectations for you as an educator, and I think this is one thing that helped me feel prepared to take over my own classroom once I graduated! I have nothing but great things to say about Millikin and the School of Education. I can say without reservation that if you chose to Make It Millikin, you would not regret it!"

"I attended Millikin University in Decatur Illinois. I studied early childhood education and was very pleased with my classes, professors and the campus. I was enrolled in the PACE program which is an accelerate 2 year program for working adults. The classes were two nights a week which was a format that worked with my busy life and schedule. My cohort was small and the teachers were very accessible and knowledgeable. I highly recommend the program and the university. I am currently registered at Millikin to get my grad degree in business."

"Millikin University is a small liberal arts school that caters to the needs of those who work better in smaller group settings. This is what enticed me about enrolling at Millikin. While I did enjoy the small classes, I felt there was room for growth in terms of the structure of the classes and the content of each course. Multiple courses at Millikin were not instructed very well, and I left the class wondering how can this be applied to the real world. When I started the Sports Management program, it was still in its beginning stages so it may be more refined now. The program director, Don Luy, was a great person and he helped me find internships and even drove some of us to a career fair in Indiana. Overall, I enjoyed my time there, but wish I went to a bigger school that offered more opportunities outside of the classroom. Decatur, IL is a rather small town and there is not much in the way of employment, internships, or professional sports teams (which was what I was looking for)."

"Millikin University is an outstanding place to receive an education. Faculty is great and very knowledgable to students. This University has so many career opportunities for traditional and Adult students. They also offer a career center, in which it helps graduates or students prepare for the real world"

"Millikin University is an amazing University with very knowledgeable professors and staff. I completed my Bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership and I loved every course. They have several opportunities for students such as the career center. They also help with setting individuals up with mentors"

"Millikin University is a great school. There is a lot to like about the art program. The 24 hour access to art studios is the best thing ever and you don't get that at many schools. The design professor needs to be changed out. He is not knowledgeable and doesn't prepare students for their careers."

"Millikin University is a fantastic school that provides endless opportunities to start building career level experience while still in school. The professors really care and want to see you success after graduation so they are always trying to push course work out of the "classroom box" and get you doing more real world learning."

"Millikin is a unique university. The small classes are great because they provide you with personal attention and connections with your professor. Unfortunately, the university is making some poor decisions regarding student care. Students are going to be forced into expensive housing for the next several years. Please make sure to research this problem before making a decision."
