"I started my graduate degree program in the Spring if 2013 under my advisor Dr. S. My focus was in Human Factors and Ergonomics research. This was a different type of work from my training in my undergraduate degree of biomedical engineering. However, once I met with Dr. S. for the first time and learned more about this field, I was sold. The Industrial Systems and Engineering program at Mississippi State, both on a graduate and undergraduate level, is very well organized, friendly, and knowledgeable environment. From the great administrators who work in the main office (Mrs. Bonnie and Mrs. Peggy are the best!) to the professors whose doors are always open for homework help or life advice, this department as a whole has given me so much. The professors have a wide range of expertise and research projects. They are very open to allowing students to gain research and real world experience. The department has a lot of clubs/societies related to the field which are a great way to meet people who share your interests. As a graduate student, I got to know my advisor Dr. S. very well. She is an amazing researcher and teacher. She was a positive force during my time here and even helped me obtain my job after graduating. I highly recommend this department to anyone considering an Industrial Engineering degree. Mississippi State as a whole is also a great campus to grow up and learn in. The environment and the people are incredibly welcoming and there's never a dull moment. There is ample opportunity for social events and tailgating in the junction is a special experience. You'll be chanting "Hail State!" and clanging a big maroon cowbell in no time! There is definitely no shortage of Southern hospitality. The availability of financial aid, scholarships, and tuition cost are very reasonable. The dorm options offer a wide variety as well. I recommend this university in general, to anyone seeking a good college education and experience."

"MSU is located in the small town of Starkville, MS. The campus is very large, but after a few weeks, it will feel like home, and your classmates will feel like family. There are many groups to get involved with around campus so there is never a dull moment. The MSU Department of Art offers one of the best art programs in the South East. It gave me a lot of confidence knowing that all of my art professors were practicing artists. Although, at times they gave doses of tough love, by graduation, I was fully prepared for what the real world was like. I have gone to many interviews that ended in compliments not only on my portfolio, but the amount of skillful knowledge I had right out of school. All in all, I am happy with my education, and am very proud to be a Mississippi State University Alumni."

"My degree in Business Administration at MSU has helped me tremendously! My major emphasis was in marketing (which I learned to love in Mrs. Moore's Intro to Mkt class), second emphasis was Management and my third emphasis was Finance. This was a great major for me because I was versatile in several different job fields. I was also able to find a great job, just so happens it's located in our rival town, Oxford. However, it's turned out great because Oxford could always use more Bulldogs! Hail State!!"

"Tell us about your college experience. It was a good fit because it wasn't too large and I was able to participate in a lot of things and learn a lot.Would you get the same degree if you could start over?No because I would major in Education or the Arts. That is where my passions are now. What advice can you offer other students?Do as much research as possible about different degrees and job opportunities. Do internships and find as many scholarships and grants as possible."
