"I attended Mississippi Valley State University on an academic-athletic scholarship in baseball. I received my bachelor's degree in 1995. The curriculum was excellent and the professors were very supportive and knowledgeable of the subject matter. Many of the courses in the business department were taught by foreigners. The only issue with a few of them was understanding their accents. In the cases with those instructors, it was a must the you read the textbooks. The professors were always in class and on time. They were willing to help you if you needed any assistance. They were firm and consistent on their rules and policies, but they would always be willing to help you when needed. I think the MVSU business department prepared me well for the career of teaching business education courses. I never thought that I would end up teaching, but the knowledge I received has stuck with me in teaching business education courses throughout my career. I had other baseball scholarship offers, but selecting MVSU was the best choice I could have made."

"I am truly a successful product of Mississippi Valley State University. Not only did I gained the necessary skills for my job, I gained meaningful relationships as well. When it comes to your education, you need a support group standing behind you and cheering you along the way. I am so grateful I had that at Mississippi Valley State. My professors were more than just teachers but my "scholarship gurus", counselors, job seekers, and motivators. My classmates acted as my encouragers and friendly competitors when it came to classwork ;). After six years, I still have great friendships with my roommates. Now I am happily residing in Ridgeland, MS and employed as an engineering draftsman at the corporate office of Cspire. Thanks Mississippi Valley State University!"
