"I recently graduated from Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids Iowa with a Master's of Science in Nursing degree. This program was completely in the classroom, 2 nights a week for 18 months (full time). I was really looking for a program with classroom time because I did not think I would be as successful in a 100% online program. There are limited Master's programs in my area that are not mostly online, which is why I was drawn to Mount Mercy's program. The evening class schedule also allowed me to work full time as a RN while completing the program. I learned great leadership, critical thinking, and health promotion skills that are going to advance my nursing career to the next level. I chose the Health Advocacy tract because my passion has always been working with patients, providing education, and being an advocate for their health. I was very impressed with the knowledge and experience from the instructors and felt like they really cared about providing me with a great education experience. However, not everything about the program was perfect. Prior to this program, I completed my BSN degree in a hybrid class setting. This allowed us to still meet in the class room occasionally, but also work individually and in groups through online course work. I would have liked to do a little bit more online work in my MSN program. In summary, if your looking for an on campus program, Mount Mercy University it a great option!"

"I received my undergraduate degree in nursing at Mount Mercy College in 2005. Mount Mercy gave me the foundation to start a successful career as a registered nurse. The structured program, with emphasis on nursing professionalism and strong skills sets, puts forth highly desired and requested nurses into the workplace. Mount Mercy is a highly respected university in the area and nurses from this institution are highly sought after. I believe that I received such an excellent education at Mount Mercy that I have decided to pursue a graduate education from this institution. There's not a doubt in my mind that I will receive an education that will put me ahead of others in this career."

"Mt. Mercy provided me with everything I needed to be a competent nurse working on the floor. The program when I attended, allowed me to take my boards after my junior year and then work as a nurse throughout my senior year while I finished out my Bachelor's program which was very beneficial, although I believe the program has now changed."

"Pros - Small class sizes and team building activities. Cons - Multiple "large paper" assignments (e.g., 25 page research papers) - which seems unusual for an MBA program."
