"My story with this school is unique case, I applied to this school by accident because I got it confused with another college by the same name, but I quickly found other people at my school that had also applied and gotten accepted. I never expected much from a little Catholic college in the middle of nowhere, but I’m definitely glad I went. The class sizes are perfect, not too big where you feel like you’re unnoticeable, not too small where you get that weird awkwardness of being one of the only people to answer your professors’ questions. A lot of the professors actually care too, they want to engage their students in their studies and there’s always some opportunity to explore your studies further. The food has its ups and downs, sometimes it was mediocre, then some nights for dinner they’d serve steak and crab cakes for dinner. Housing is guaranteed and it truly is an experience, the underclassmen dorms are standard issue, nothing you wouldn’t expect. The upperclassmen dorms are where you truly get to experience the freedom of being in college and I LOVED it. The only downside would definitely be the location, the surrounding area is a little unwelcoming, especially for students of color. The campus itself is also very isolated, the nearest food market is miles from campus, maybe a 10 minute drive, but for students with no car that’s very difficult to procure food. All in all, I would give my experience 7/10 #GOMOUNT!"

"I took several courses at Mount Saint Mary's University "The Mount" from 2007-2009 at the Frederick Campus. The class sizes were small and the professors were engaging which made learning much easier. The homework was challenging and none of the courses were an "Easy-A". The staff was always helpful and willing to work with students in any way they could. It is widely known that some of the major government agencies recruit from Mount Saint Mary's too. Great university. Highly Recommended."

"Very convenient for students working full-time jobs. I also really appreciated that there were three locations to take courses. Faculty were great and my advisor really helped me navigate the best way to complete my degree."

"The pros: I am in a hybrid program - Biotechnology and Management - and am taking accelerated courses in both graduate programs concurrently. This unique program is preparing me for a management career in the biotech industry. The cons: Accelerated program requires additional hours each week than a traditional graduated program. Be prepared to dedicate the time."

"Pros: The education provided at Mt. St. Mary University is excellent and provides you with the knowledge and skills that employers require in the workforce. The staff is excellent and highly talented. A top-notch school and education. Cons: The school could provide more support and services in helping students find internships and post-graduate employment. The quality of education sells itself but for pursuing companies outside the Western MD area, you are left mostly to yourself."

"The Mounts MBA program is convenient in that the classes are all available in Frederick and in the evening, so that it is easy for working adults to attend the classes. The down side is that you miss out on the on-campus feel that I experienced in undergrad."
