"Murray State University and the surrounding area offer diverse opportunities, thorough instruction, and an endearing experience."

"So far, I like the graduate level professors more than the undergraduate. Mainly because you are able to become closer to the grad professors due to class size. Also, the grad professors seem more relaxed than the undergraduate (which I do not fault them for, undergrad professors have a lot more to deal with such as larger classes and party hungry freshman). The course material so far is quite enjoyable for me, its challenging yet it does not seem unobtainable. I also like that Murray State offers the possibility of certification at the end of the program. As far as cons, the only thing that may arise as problem for me is the "set" schedule of classes. What I mean is that about half of the necessary classes are only offered at one time and you miss your chance you have to wait a whole year for another chance."

"The graduate program has a strong curriculum and wonderful professors. The location of the school is a very small town, but offers a different lifestyle than where I grew up."

"Murray is a small town with little distractions for graduate work, so depending on the student that can be great. The cost of living is very affordable for a grad school budget. Teaching and research assistantships are available but competitive however tuition is generally not covered although there are options to apply for University assistantships that would cover tuition. Unfortunately Murray State doesn't offer health insurance for graduate students either. There is some repetition in coursework and some classes are not as challenging as they could be. However there are good resources for research and abundant opportunities to interface with faculty."

"The program is always evolving and using more modern technologies to teach the material. Students are clearly the focus and the professors are constantly doing research to keep their material as up-to-date as possible."
