"NYU Law is a top five law program which also has a substantial number of friendly, nice students. It's a rare and lovely combination. The school is very public interest-oriented (though the majority of people go into firm work initially, just like every other school), and the amount of student groups doing substantive, important work is truly unparalleled. Yes, you'll get the fancy education and professors, but NYU Law is more than that. The clinics, journals, research opportunities, and Centers all mean that you can follow your heart's desire and leave with attractive practical skills and an impressive resume, if you simply take advantage of them. The career services, public interest, and judicial clerkship offices are extremely helpful (to the point of individualized advocacy on behalf of students); amazing speakers visit the campus with overwhelming frequency (it is impossible to attend all of the events you'd like to); and our Dean goes by "Ricky" and giggles hysterically with ridiculous frequency. What's not to like?"

"I have had a very satisfying experience here at NYU Law. The program has allowed me to change my perspectives greatly and learn how to think like a lawyer. Excelling in academics is undoubtedly competitive given the nature of law school curriculum, but I survived to secure employment for my legal career. As one of the top 6 law schools in the States, NYU Law students enjoy a great advantage in terms of proceeding to the next stage of their career advancement, whether in the field of academia, private practice, public interest, government, etc."
