"I obtained my degree from Newman University. Specifically, a Masters in Social Work. Newman University is located in Wichita, Kansas and they offered a distance program in Colorado Springs, where I live. In Colorado Springs, there are not many options to obtain a Social Work degree. One school was 2 hour drive away while another school was only available every 2 years. Newman definitely is friendly to the working student and made it possible to get a Masters in the field that I love. In addition, the teachers were excellent as well as the staff. Because the distance program is relatively small, the classroom and school feels incredibly comfortable and some of my classmates have turned out to be lifelong friends! In addition, the program was very clinical which in turn, prepared me in passing my licensure exam!"

"Newman University is based in Wichita, Kansas, but I am currently attending their outreach Masters in Social work program in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The school is very small with about 100 MSW students. It has great professors who are encouraging and supportive, and with small class sizes the program feels more like a family than a school. I am enrolled in the part-time program which will take 4 years in total to complete. The classes are on evenings and weekends to help accommodate those like myself who are working full time. Newman University continues to help me feel motivated to realize my goal of becoming a social worker."

"This graduate program is focused around providing opportunities for non-traditional students who are unable to attend class mid day or for long periods of time. Classes are at night after work allowing me to work full time and still attend classes. Staff are incredibly easy to contact and receive assistance. Support staff at the school are also very friendly and knowledgeable."
