"This program definitely works to prepare students for their careers as school counselors. However, there were a few classes where the amount of work did not reflect the content (i.e. constant busy work)."

"Pros: The program is very affordable and is centered around data driven instruction. The professors make an effort to keep the students up to date with information and push them to not only be the best but to be the only logical option for a career choice. The programs are filled with valuable information and honest care is put into each course. The professors truly make the program worthwhile for any person looking to become an educator. The two day per week schedule is also wonderful because of work schedules. The networking between cohort members is a great tool, as more than half of the students are from Canada. Cons: The workload is intense, not necessarily reasonable. It is obvious that this program is an accelerated program, but much of the work became busy work. Also, with the repeating need for technology use in the classroom, the technology often failed in class at the University. Because of this, much time was wasted during the actual class segments. Also, much of the material seemed to be "common sense," although it is understood why this information must be repeated."
