"Great school! Personal feel, even in large departments, and there's something for everyone."

"I'm really enjoying my first semester here. The professors are really intelligent and helpful. They're also always available to speak with concerning schoolwork or life in general. My program is relatively small, so I've quickly found some great friends within the program. Downtown Raleigh is a cool place - but it's also filled with construction (typical for a city). Renting off-campus can be tricky - don't get me wrong, there are some fabulous apartments, but don't expect to be able to afford it on a teaching assistant's budget. Overall, I'm pretty happy I chose to come to NCSU for my Master's. I recommend it!"

"Pros: Fantastic faculty and staff, excellent public transportation, location is great Cons: very few cons... Social life on a quiz for graduate students?"

"This program is a newer one with younger faculty. The advantage is that they are very invested in their graduate students to make them successful. The downside is that they are little less known in their fields, but are on the cutting edge of interesting new work."
