"For an Urban School, NEU does a lot of things really well. The staff has many great connections throughout the Boston Metro Area, and will help you to get involved in your field of interest when they can. The program is less rigorous than my Undergrad, and the content that they teach is important to understanding Urban Affairs, but can be repetitive, because they cannot assume the same background, and sometimes teach as if they are starting from scratch. Not every course of the required curriculum will be mind blowing but the ones where I experienced the most growth in understanding were well worth all the rest. The financial aid situation of most colleges in general is pretty awful, and there are definitely not enough grants to go around in this program. The Urban Affairs field is growing throughout the US, and the Public Policy and Urban Affairs school is relatively new and growing. Most of the learning that I found beneficial stemmed from both exceedingly well taught lectures by many of the professors as well as the class discussions, and I highly recommend pursuing this degree on campus if at all possible over the online classes."

"Northeastern University has been fantastic! I've had a great network between my peers and (most) of the faculty I've worked with. Boston is an amazing city, but be prepared. It is expensive! Northeastern does have opportunities for on-campus jobs and (some) financial assistance, but I was left with all Federal aid and working a few jobs. Overall, the program is great and I've had a lot of fun with it. Biggest downfalls? Financial assistance and high cost of living."

"Northeastern University is situated nicely in the Boston area, a hub of scientific innovation. For this reason, the networking opportunities and ability to find a job in the field of science immediately post-graduation is the best quality of attending NEU. The biggest con of this school is a high cost of living, notorious for the Boston area."

"Excellent faculty and research support. Diverse and highly motivated colleagues. Financial support depends largely on faculty grants - choose your advisor wisely."

"good but not that good ,strict rules of registering course make student can't choose what they want to learn and the course is not that enough for study"

"Northeastern is a great school. We have a very strong relationship with the industry which not only helps with obtaining jobs upon graduation but also helps keep the research areas relevant. Most graduate students in the Electrical and computer engineering department (at the PhD level at least) are supported with some sort of funding. In my department the workload tends to get close to overwhelming Faculty support can vary depending on the faculty. I believe administration can improve by showing more care to the graduate students the same way it does to undergraduate students"

"The school has a very good Engineering reputation. I chose this school specifically for the variety of course offerings listed in the most current registrar's handbook. However, after beginning classes and speaking to the faculty, many of the courses listed had not been taught/offered for several years. After speaking with several of my classmates, I drafted a letter to and met with the department administration requesting on behalf of all the other students interested in these courses to put them back in the curriculum as advertised. One was put back into the curriculum, yet, there are still a shortage of electives which has prompted me to take other classes outside the Engineering Department."

"I love the University, the infrastructure and facilities are beyond expectation. The Snell library is an excellent resource for the students. The various activities and student organizations ensure that everyone finds something to be involved in apart from academics. The Professors are friendly and are excellent at what they teach. The Co-op opportunities and other career services of the university are extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend everyone to apply here and be a part of this great institution."

"It is really great to attend to the co-op program, which is benefit for me to be familiar with the society and plan for my career. Lessons are always interesting because of these enthusiastic professors. I am always enjoy it though topics are difficult. Although the campus has several crimes, we have two police offices which are convenient to reach and ready to protect us. Enjoy the diversity, enjoy the convenience, and the high quality education."

"Northeastern University is a great University for the graduate students because it allows the students to explore new opportunities. I would appreciate the University if it had allowed the equal opportunities for the Graduate students during the funding."

Recent changes in both the college of engineering and the electrical and computer engineering department will continue to add to the growth at Northeastern.
