"A con would be that it is located in a super small town, but that is also a pro in itself because it has that small town charm. Also, it is an hour out from Portland so if you ever need a break, Portland is there!"

"The pros of this program are small cohort, supportive staff who are quick to respond to emails, interesting classes, on-site clinic, great building with access to technology and public transportation. Cons may be that the city the professional psychology campus is in is not a "college town" and not too much entertainment around the area."

"I am new to this program but so far every aspect of the school has been excellent. Professors are very accessible and willing to devote time to support students in every aspect of their time at Pacific. Small cohort sizes seem like they will contribute to a great academic and social environment."

"One of the pros of my program is the block scheduling. While intense, it allows for optimum concentration in the subject matter for maximum retention of the information. The students and faculty are also extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The public transportation is amazing and affordable, as well as the amenities provided to students close to campus. The only con of my program is the cost. Although still less expensive than other pharmacy programs because of the accelerated curriculum, tuition is still out of reach for many.Read Less"

"Pacific University offers an entry-level occupational therapy education for people wishing to stay within Oregon while they go to school. The facilities have been updated and include a modern ADL and pediatric lab. Unfortunately the program is much longer than necessary."

"The campus is very quaint as is the town of Forest Grove. The surrounding countryside is very beautiful. Academics at Pacific are very strong."

"The fast pace environment allows us to finish the program in three years. However, it leaves us no time to think of anything else but the classes. The professors were very knowledgeable and their teaching style were great. The promote team work to the extreme which enforces even the shiest student to take part in group activity. I highly recommend the school if tuition is affordable to anyone."

"Pacific University's PA program has many pro including the level of education and standards of achievement. The curriculum is based on up to date evidence-based information. Students are also take a course that teaches them how to read and critically evaluate peer reviewed medical articles. The supportive and experienced faculty consisting of Physicians, PAs, pharmacists, and optometrists have varied backgrounds and are all very knowledgeable and available to help students learn. Clinical rotations are set up by faculty, and they do the majority of the work to find and keep educational rotations. They also offer international rotations in Honduras, Kenya, and China. The campus is very accessible via the light rail 'the max' with a stop right outside of the school. Student max passes are also discounted. The school is located at the Health Professions Campus in Hillsboro, OR and the PA program shares the campus with a multitude of other health professions such as pharmacy, physical therapy, dental hygiene, occupational therapy, audiology, and psychology. The optometry program will soon be there also. This allows for educational experiences that involve other professions as well. A con would be that rotations can be throughout the US which can increase the cost in the second year.Read Less"

"The program is awesome. The faculty and staff make sure that your learning experience here is worth while. They're interested in how well you're doing in and outside of class. The program is also more hands on than other programs. I'm excited to go to class everyday! The only thing that is considered "hard" or a "con" is that it gives you less time with your family, especially if you have kids. The faculty are really sensitive to making sure that students with families are included and they also work your schedule around it so that you can have a little time with them.Read Less"

"The graduate program so far has been great. The students I work with and my teachers have all been very understanding and have shown that they care about my success. The courses are challenging but we have a good support system and network of teachers and students. The only con is the cost so far. I am married with a little girl, the amount of debt we will incur is going to be challenging to conquer."

"Pacific University's PT program offers a unique setting for students, who have a strong desire to serve others through the practice of physical therapy. The program advocates evidence based practice as well as student participation in service events and APTA political/social functions. The professors impart their passion for the profession through their engaging and didactic classes. Finally, one other appealing aspect of this program is that students are able to participate in the placement process for their clinical internships.Read Less"

"The biggest pro is the tremendous amount of support. Everyone, including professors and peers, are there to help. There is absolutely no feeling of competition between students. There really are not any cons, besides the fact that I would like to receive other sources of financial aid."

"Pacific University has offered me the absolute best opportunity to receive a rewarding education. The help and support the faculty provides goes beyond my expectations, and they have proved to be excellent educators. I am surrounded by a well-diversified, friendly, and intelligent group of classmates, in addition to lush forests that give me a chance to relax from studying. "I have 1 pro and 1 con. Pro: The program is progressive and the model is integrative. Achieving a Masters in Counseling will enable me to empower and offer tools for mental health healing to individuals who are suffering. Con: The U.S. doesn't believe that education is a priority so no matter where I go, being a graduate student will put me in debt, and this is an absolute travesty."
