Please do not waste your money on this so-called school. It is not a real degree and employers will laugh at it. Please go to a community college or state university. PF does not give you textbooks, just online "study guides" written at about an eighth-grade level. What kind of school allows students to "preview" the exams before they take them? All you have to do is look up the answers then log in and click them on the test. You also get two chances to take exams. It's ridiculous. Instructors are rude and unhelpful. Their favorite line is "call Student care". Speaking of student care, the reps are clueless and unable to answer simple questions. This is a business and you are buying a worthless piece of paper. A degree costs about $4000 total so if you are paying $50 a month it will take you EIGHT YEARS to pay it off. Don't do it!
This was a complete waste of money, do not take this class. It would have been better to take an online college course - it counts toward your future. Only a certificate, no hours toward CEUs or LPN schooling enrollment it does not count. AVOID AVOID
Absolute rip off. Student services is a joke and rude. Don't waste money on this non accredited school. Your better off going to library. Not worth it at all. I can't even get in contact with corporate. I'm trying to report to better business bureau. I paid in full up front. They might care more if your doing monthly payments. Learned not to go to school online. I'm surprised they are still open.
I recently graduated from the Penn Foster career school pharmacy technician program. Their materials were very spot on and in depth. Aside from the very low cost they also help you find a 120 hour externship with either CVS or Wallgreens, your choice. They have affordable monthly payments which really helped. I would recommend this school and program to anyone. The career school is both nationally and regionally accredited. Check them out.
Not worth it. They did not help me at all with the externship:l. They say they will provide you with a list, but when you ask for help all they say is "you have to do this part on your own". I could not complete my course I worked very hard on because of this one step. I ran out of time because vets don't do the externship said anymore.
I signed up for the Freelance Writing program with Penn Foster to learn more about freelancing in general and how to succeed as a freelance writer. The program gives you a good amount of information to start but similiar information is online for free or at a much lower cost- you just have to do some digging. I was very dissapointed with the lack of communication from Penn Foster. No one is checking up with you to see how you are doing, there is no sense of community, no inquiry or even an introduction from a professor/instructor. Not much direction either, you are really on your own. Customer service was always helpful though.
Unsure of dates-helped in health class at vocational technical school I was attending, and also added more background knowledge while working at a personal care home and also as a direct care aide in a nursing facility. The hospitality/hotel management course helped me to understand the background of the hotel industry I previously worked in, along with working in the retail environment. Due to the background I had, I was asked if I would like become a manager-in the store's management training program. Also, I was able to make self -directed decisions as per observing residents, apply emergency help where needed as per staff training at each facility I worked at. I am indebted to this school for my background training in each related field, including a diploma from a technical school that trained is to become an EKG technician along with pleobotomy training which led me to doing finger stick testing in an assistant care home, all which enabled me to work at each facility without direct supervision, but had access to a supervisor as needed, along with several commendations, I wouldn't have received these without the help you gave me or the training I could also apply to each position I held. For this I am very grateful. I was able to add hazmat training learned for each field I worked in., including cleaning up blood in the retail environment. You can apply anything learned and apply it to other work environments. Both the medical assistant, and the hotel management courses were for a diploma. along with the EKG combined course
Worst school don't waste your money and time.this school isn't a school it's a scam for your money $2000 for nothing.they don't have anything but greed for money that's all they don't care if you succeed. Don't enroll it's a scam they are a bad school.
I paid to have my diploma and transcripts sent second day delivery and come to find out the do not offer that service so they took my money and I have no diploma and the are giving me a hard time about refunding my money...... Please train your staff the value of honesty it is not nice to take peoples money for a service you don't even offer!!!!!!
I decided to do this course to keep jogging my mind while taking a gap year. I'm doing it online through ICS Canada, and I personally am enjoying the information and motivation I get from doing this course. Though I sometimes question how updated it is, I'm not having any real problems with it. Good luck with your studies!!
