Degree: Medical Billing & Coding
Graduation Year: 2016

This is the worst school I have ever attended. The "teachers" are graders, they don't actually design the coursework. There is a lot of filler, work that is similar for many of the degrees, that has nothing to do with the content you want; ie, if I wanted to learn how to write or learn MS Office, I would have taken the course for them. The material is not that up-to-date. They encourage you to use tutoring because it is cheaper for them. "Teachers" simply grade and give no guidance at all. I was so frustrated, I wrote a passage in the PF community, and no one bothered to answer it until a month later. I started another course but cancelled it because of the same concerns. I had thought, how bad could it be? Well, I got my answer, worse than I anticipated. If you can afford it, but anywhere but PF. There are many free courses on the Internet that are better. I tried to call administration to air my concerns, but Corinne, who you are supposed to call, is conveniently never in her office. I can't wait until I get the h*** out of there.

Degree: Physical Therapy
Graduation Year: 2011

I was trying to add more to my bachelors degree and trying to get this diploma but I was mislead and made to think this was a right choice in completing this course. But in reality it was just trying to get a sale and I was in their trap. I got job interviews and people always asked do you have a license to get this job and I would say no because I was made to believe that I was making a right choice but reality I was just giving away money. But reality they tell you what you want to hear, they did an amazing job making me look like a dunce.

Degree: Pharmacy Technician
Graduation Year: 2012

The prices and payment plans for this school are very reasonable. Especially with the economical climate as it is. The curriculum is easy to follow, only downfall is I wish they would send the next shipment in a more timely manner. Sometimes I had to take a break just to wait for the next shipment.

But overall I completed what was supposed to be a 9 month course in 4 months. I loved the fact that you could work at your own pace and the online library was available as were instructors if needed. Overall a pretty good experience and much more cost efficient then going to a physical campus would have been. I only wish I had read the faqs beforehand to realize that even though I am done with my course I will not get my diploma until my account it paid in full. To me that is reasonable, it was my oversight.

I have only 10 lessons left in the medical office assistant program and I love it. They are helpful, anytime I have an issue they are quick to respond. I have recommended Penn Foster to others and will continue to do so.

You do not receive your diploma until your account is paid in full. They won't even send you a letter of completion. So you if you choose the payment plan..beware that you will not receive anything from the school until you account is paid in full, So I have another 18 months of payments before I even see my diploma and I've already completed the whole course..

Please don't be fooled, Penn Foster doesn't offer an OTA certificaton course. They can get you certified as an AIDE, not an Assistant. I am currently taking the course and find it very educational, but I still need to find a school that I can get an Associates degree.

I am enrolled in the medical office assistant program through Penn Foster and so far I really like it! It's self paced and easy to understand. The tuition is also very reasonable. I would recommend this school to anyone who is interested in attending a career college.

I recently started the medical transcription program. I have no complaints so far. I am very pleased with the program, and I plan on getting my billing and coding degree through Penn Foster after I complete the Medical Transcription program.
