Penn State Altoona is a very intimate campus especially the EMET program. The campus as a whole is only about 4,000 students. The program is small and has a very devoted faculty. Most, if not all have worked in the industry so they know exactly what they are teaching will be applicable to your future career. The professors are more concerned about the students than their paychecks. I have yet to meet a professor, in the EMET program, that did not care how I was doing in class or in my personal life, if I shared that information with them. They have a very open door policy and respond fast to emails. They really want the students to succeed and I think that is the best part of the program. I've never felt lost or misguided I felt like I had everyone on my side helping me. If you're looking for a hands on engineering degree that is lab based the PSUA EMET degree is the right choice for you!
