"Penn State is a great school to go to because it will prepare you for the career you want. It is a help get you to the next level in your career. This university has it all: a great campus, faculty, sense of community, and cutting edge research. Expect tough academics and to work hard for your grades. Top public university, in my opinion."

"This program is specifically meant to check a box. If you have been in the field of software engineering for a year, you will not learn anything new. The advisers are not helpful if you have conflicts with anything. The program doesn't offer any flexibility with schedule. There is no financial support. The entire program is entirely busy work. The professors are nice and offer good advice on menial assignments, but the topics covered in the courses will all have been learned in undergraduate studies or on the job. I went to school at Penn State University Park and earned a bachelors degree in Computer Science. I was hoping the online masters program would help me further my career. If it does, it will just be because I can check a box that says I have my Masters degree, not because I learned anything."

"The courses that I have been taking at PSU are courses that teach viable skills applicable to the corporate workplace. I was able to balance this degree and a full time work schedule. Furthermore, the professors were very polite and answered questions in a very detailed manner."

"Completing a graduate degree at the convenience of your home and time are the beauty of Online schooling. Add great approachable professors to that and you get something valuable at Penn State World Campus."

"I recently enrolled in the PSU Great Valley MBA program and so far everything has been wonderful. They make the program available for working individuals which is really helpful when trying to juggle a full time job and going to school. My in class experience so far has been great. I wanted a face to face interaction portion and I think it has been really beneficial. They also supplement the face to face class with online activities and discussion boards. I think this is a good combination for learning and I am excited to continue working towards my degree."

"Since it was an online program through Great Valley many of these don't apply to me. One of the things that has hampered me is the lack of professor student interaction. It would be great if the professor either had a weekly online video chat or posted a video online about this week's discussion."

"Penn State University - World Campus was relatively easy to apply for and competitive to get in. The registrar followed up with my application and helped me get all required material in. Even though my application was late, they still allowed me to submit. The staff was very helpful in instructing me how to enroll in classes and what classes to enroll in. So far, my experience has been a positive one that I would recommend to anyone."

"I am part of the Pilot VLN program at PSU Berks campus. This program is run through PSU Great Valley. There have been issues along the way...we cannot register for classes online through eLion we have to call the registrar. This can be an inconvenience when you work an 8-5 job. There was also very little information in the beginning. Our books are not offered at the Berks Campus bookstore, but most buy/online always. We, as a cohort, had to chose what classes we wanted to take for the remainder of our program. If there is a class that I wanted to take but the rest of the cohort didn't I either had to forgo that class or drive over an hour to GV. There classes themselves have been great, the professors are knowledgeable and understand that we are adults with jobs, families, and lives outside of school. The VLN program works great. Some technically difficulties during really bad thunderstorms, but otherwise no real unsolvable issues. The overall experience has been great! I would recommend to anyone interested in their MBA."

"My professors are knowledgeable, published scholars. The learning assignments are relevant to the course objectives, and the school does a good job with involving online students in their classes. I'm a World Campus student living in Florida, and I would really love the opportunity to have some time in the classroom."

"The Software Engineering program at Penn State - Great Valley is a wonderful opportunity for people around the world to study with Penn State's faculty and fellow graduate students. The only thing missing from the World Campus program is the opportunity for true in-class discussions. We use forums and other technologies, but it is not the same experience. I would still choose to attend the Penn State Great Valley World Campus over a local university even without the benefit of the face-to-face communication based on the quality of the program and the professors."

"Online program. Sometimes the program can be more challenging than at other times. Generally manageable workload with responsive professors."
