"I really liked my time as a BBH major at Penn State! The professors are wonderful, and the curriculum is very well-rounded. That said, I think that as a student at a big school, I didn't take advantage of the various opportunities (both academic and extracurricular) at PSU to their full potential, partly because I wasn't aware of them until junior and senior year. Once I was looped in, I found endless opportunities and really flourished. I think it would be beneficial to freshmen to promote these more. I also think it was a bit harder to "find your people" at a big school than at a small one, in my experience as someone who went to a small school for my Master's. I was part of Greek Life at PSU, which is very prominent and involved in things like THON, and I appreciate how it expanded my opportunities and gave me lifelong friends. However, the overall culture surrounding Greek Life has many flaws, and the social norms and unspoken hierarchy have had deleterious effects on my self-image, for sure."

"Penn State was a very enjoyable University to attend! I enjoyed the social life and the academics greatly. There are a large number of student organizations to join both related to your major of study and unrelated. There are a large number of classes available and any major can be enjoyed here!"

"I had a great time at Penn State. I met a lot of my current friends while I was there, and I think it’s a very welcoming community. I also think the academics were top notch. Covid messed a lot of things up, but it professors did the best they could to make things work. I have nothing but positive things to say."

"I went to Penn State. It was some of the best years of my life. On a social level it is probably unmatched. That was good and bad as there are more than enough distractions when it comes to focusing on your academics. Overall, I would not exchange my years there for anything."

"I attended World Campus and am very happy with my experience. The Human Resources program was SHRM certified and I was able to take the SHRM exam upon graduating at the discounted student rate. I felt my coursework prepared me well for work and I found the coursework engaging."

"Being at Penn State was one of the best experiences I have ever had. I have nothing but fond memories. My professors and my classmates were always so helpful and collaborative. I actually went to a branch campus first and was going to do 2 years at the branch and then 2 years at main campus. I had just been recovering from knee surgery when I unexpectedly had to transfer to main campus sooner than I had planned due to a program i needed to get into to complete my major. During this process, the school was so incredibly helpful in helping me to transfer over my credits and get me all set up. It was a bit hard to get around on campus after just having surgery and I made so many nice friends who would give me rides so I did not have to walk a lot. My professors were so understanding as well. The town of State College is the perfect place to have your college experience. All of your friends are right in town and it feels like the campus is its own little community despite how large it is. All my classes were so interesting and I definitely received top-notch education. I had the perfect balance of academia and a social life."

"Penn State is a good university, there are some good professors and the admin is good and responsive. It's difficult to say how useful some degrees are these days because the job landscape has changed so drastically. I do like how Penn State has so many offerings and they're very helpful."

"I am so glad that I chose to go to Penn State. Coming out of college I was worried about picking a school that was too big, or picking one that was too small. I found out that with Penn State, you get to choose which kind of experience you want to have. There is the option to participate in larger events and activities, or narrow down your interaction to various small groups. The options for majors allowed me to test out new things, and I believe I've been considered for many jobs strictly because I attended a recognizable and respected university."

"Penn State offers a well balanced college experience that blends academics with community. I strongly believe I could not have received a better education elsewhere. I could not have had better professors. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. There is something for everyone at Penn State."

"Penn State University was the best experience of my life! While the campus felt very big it was actually really small once you found your people. You got to make Penn State what you wanted it to be. I was able to join organizations that were meaningful to me and about lifelong friendship."

"I absolutely loved my time at Penn State University. I feel like I got both the social experience and the education experience from Penn State that made it worth it for me. I majored in Art, and while my current career is not in the Arts, I feel like my education was my foundation for my career. Penn State encouraged independent thinking and development that I use daily in my work."

"Penn State is not just a college for learning. It is a place to become an adult, find your community, participate in extracurricular activities and discover who you are. There is something for every person who is there. If you want to grow, Penn State will absolutely help you accomplish this. I would consider my attendance at PSU as the most wonderful time of my life."

"I would give Penn State overall a 4/5. The Schreyer Honors College was excellent and I got a lot out of my honors courses especially. My business school classes were generally useful, but the professors could be hit or miss. If I had gone again, I probably would have chosen a different major. In terms of college life, my experience was excellent. I lived in a single dorm (Eastview Terrace), enjoyed eating at the dining commons, and enjoyed using the 3 different fitness centers. I had ample access to fun clubs and activities and made many friends. All in all, I would rate academics 4/5 and social life 4.5/5. Penn State was a great place to get out of your shell and become your own person."

"Penn State is a great school to meet friends, join clubs, and have a high quality respectable education. It's not perfect of course and some of the professors seem to not be interested in teaching and more research but if you navigate and choose quality classes and want to learn, you will."

"The AI program at Penn State - World Campus is explicitly a degree mill.If you are highly self motivated and attending school *only* for the purpose of obtaining a degree to advance your career options this school may be a good fit for you. If you have any other expectations from a school, it's faculty, or the learning experience I would advise you to stay far far away.In theory the class content is reasonable, however: The class materials are terrible. The interaction with faculty or other students is extremely limited. The assignments and exams are not always aligned with the class content. The professors provide zero feedback whatsoever on any assignments or exams.I have turned in excellent projects that I worked hard on, as well as hot garbage that was clearly not finished in time (eg. did not follow all instructions). I received a 100% with no comments for both extremes. I genuinely believe that even course projects are graded only on "completion" but even that is not checked thoroughly. No one at Penn State has helped me learn the material at all, if you aren't in it for the degree you're better off just browsing the web."

"Penn State University is a wonderful state school offering numerous majors across the commonwealth. There are multiple commonwealth campuses that are convenient for part time students and students living at home to save money. The in-state tuition is very affordable in comparison to private universities. With the diverse academics, sports, and student body, there is a place for everyone."

"Penn State was very fun. There are lots of bars and clubs in town to be social and meet new people. I learned some things about education that I did not know, and I re-learned lots of things I already knew. When I had a health issue towards the end of my program, I was booted from that program and awarded a Master's without the necessary certification to get a job in my field. Penn State would not re-accept me to finish my certification. I am now attending another university to finish my program, at full cost to myself. Had Penn State not removed me from my program for a medical issue, I would be a certified teacher helping to end the teacher shortage. Right now, I am substituting intermittently and living below the poverty line on Medicaid. Thanks Penn State!"

"Penn State has a great Kinesiology and Sports Medicine program. Providing many teaching methods to help students understand the curriculum. Although classes were large of about 200-400 students, it is best to talk to professors and get to know them as well as ask as many questions as possible when it comes to exams or homework questions. Taking advantage of office hours and study sessions will definitely help you understand even the most difficult courses. The Kinesiology professors definitely made the courses interesting."
