"The pros of my graduate program are that it is a competitive program that not only teaches all of the students but also prepares them to transition into the real world and make a difference in our society. The students are close-knit and support each other academically and the staff always have an open-door policy. The con is that it is located in an expensive city and I will have to really budget to make ends meet."

"PCOM is considered one of the top DO programs in the country. There graduates are well know in the surrounding has superior. The campus life is very involved. There are numerous clubs and activities to participate in and there are numerous volunteer opportunities. There are many different experiences available for rotations during third and fourth year that allow the student to become the most well rounded in medicine. Training in Philadelphia is an opportunity to train in one of the U.S. cities leading in medical advancements and improvements."

"I love that PCOM is a graduate school only. This opens up the availability and access to supporting services since the focus is centered around the graduate programs. I love the staff and the employees of PCOM. A very friendly, down to earth community. I especially love that competition is not encouraged within our physician assistant program-- this really fosters teamwork among peers and better morale."

"I have found my academic experience to be invaluable. I am grateful for the faculty, staff, and my cohort for their support and high expectations during the pursuit of my graduate degree. Because the school is divided into trimesters, there is a plentiful amount of information that must be covered within a short amount of time. Overall, the trimester schedule was okay; however, for some courses I believe I needed more academic instruction that more time would have only allowed. In conclusion, I highly recommend the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. I believe my degree from here has made me very competitive when compared to others."

"The Biomedical Sciences Program is a challenging one, taught by the same teachers who teach the D.O. program. At times, they seem to confuse the two groups when they are speaking, but overall, the teaching is excellent. Campus is small, at the top of Fairmont Park. It's pretty. There isn't enough interaction between the programs, but there are a couple activities you can join/do in order to network."

"Pros - Phenomenal faculty - very informed and always willing to help. Very competitive but students utilize teamwork and working together. Courses are interesting and attributable to a future career or professional program. Cons - expensive program. Very expensive housing/living. Located in a debatably unsafe neighborhood, I do not feel save walking around off-campus by myself. No convenient access to public transportation (trains/buses)."

"This school is very competitive. As it caters mainly to healthcare related professionals, every student there is trying to be just that much better than the next one. It creates a spirited, hardworking atmosphere. On the other hand, the students are all very nice and always willing to help each other. The faculty are nice. They seem to be stuck in a rut with powerpoints, but that will be the same everywhere you go."
