Portland State University Reviews
Portland State University has some of the most amazing instructors and faculty that were an intrinsic part of my decision to pursue a master's degree. Their online format was easy to navigate and the feedback from instructors was on-point. The schools community of students and staff are very inclusive and appreciate diversity.
Portland State University was my last option for undergrad. My mother was pressuring me to go due to the low cost. I'm glad I listened to her because after the first year, I couldn't imagine attending anywhere else. PSU not only is the biggest university in Oregon, but it's also the most diverse. No matter your ethnicity, age, or education level, all are welcome. I enjoyed the laid back vibe and studious energy. I would recommend PSU for anyone who may be doubting if they should go back to school or not. PSU will support you in any way possible and get you to your next chapter in life.
I really enjoyed attending Portland State University. The campus location is great and the social work program is amazing. The instructors had many years of experience working in different fields so the lectures were very diverse and really helped paint a picture as to how flexible this degree can be.
Portland State University is an all around great school. Their ability to help non-traditional students with their educational is incredible. They offer the right classes, for the right price with the right help. The school is dedicated to student success. In addition, PSU helps students past just academia, they help students find jobs, networks with future employers and become prepared for their careers.
It's a great college that takes care of its business students and takes pride in all of their successes.
I was looking for a college that I could take the majority (if not all) of my courses online because I work full-time, but also wanted a school that was reputable. I completed my Bachelors in Social Sciences online in 6 terms. I had a strong focus on rural social work and children family studies. The instructors were amazing and a took a great deal from my education and applied it to my work. I was fortunate that my ideal job opened just as I finished my degree and because of my course work and degree I got the job!! I plan to return to Portland State University to obtain my Master in Social Work. I highly recommend Portland State University.
Despite of what you may have or haven't heard about PSU. One thing I would say is PSU is a great school offering many programs and having some of the best in the state. With it being the largest University in Oregon it's a school to 35,000+ students. That say's a lot, many students are choosing to go to school over others.
It is a diverse community with having students from so many different backgrounds. It's facilities are just amazing as well and the park blocks are a great place to study. The teachers truly want to see you succeed, you just have to want to be able to succeed, this is college not high school.
