"Unless you are prepared to do the work on the level of graduate students as a junior in college, do not consider the BS/MOT program at QU. They do not give an accurate representation of the rigor and actual intellectual level of the courses you begin during your third year as an undergraduate student in this program. The department and faculty are great when you are in the program, but do NOT be mislead when they tell you upon introduction that they are "supportive" or "willing to work with you under unique circumstances", because they play purely by the numbers and do not consider other circumstances. If you tell them you are struggling with non-academic circumstances, such as mental health or family issues, you can't expect to be met with sympathy and the flexibility you would expect from an Occupational Therapy department, a field focused PURELY on flexibility and adaptability. I loved and adored this program and the faculty until I began to struggle in one course, and nothing I could do was good enough for them. I wish I had somehow gotten the chance to speak to someone who had also found one or two of the more intellectually challenging courses a bit of a struggle to get through (and when I say a struggle, the program requires a C+ to progress, and I got a C/C-) and known how they treat students in this situation, because it certainly would have impacted my decision in attending this program."

"It was generally known that you were not a true QU student unless you missed at least a handful of classes due to the food poisoning from the school's horrendous caterer (Chartwells if you would like to look them up). The school is a rampant lier, still telling students they live on the main campus for the first two years when they, in fact, are usually squished into off-campus accommodations after freshman year. If you want to use the silverware or access any amenities the school offers, you better make sure you do it while prospective students are touring, since it is the only time when they actually make sure the silverware, trays, and coffee/other machines are not covered in filth. The education itself is lackluster, and I was told my senior year that I should not expect to be "job-ready" after completing a bachelor's at Quinnipiac from the head of the department herself, so there goes $200,000+ for nothing. The game design and development major itself was a trap, any students entering it learned nothing and were stuck to learning on their own. If you want to be a game developer, do what the head of the game design and development department told us: never take game development as a major. I would advise taking a computer science bachelor's (ANYWHERE but Quinnipiac) and take free online courses for game development, since the teachers usually just rip from these at QU anyway. I can confidently say that 90% of what I learned about game development at QU was learned on my own, and most of the stuff I was taught needed to be relearned since it was generally incorrect."

"If you're looking for a messed up grading system then this is the school for you. The grading system, espesially if you are in an advanced program, will screw you over. If you were to get a B in a class that averages to a 2.5 GPA. Maybe its just the high school I went to, but a B in a class was equaled to a 3.0 GPA. I loved my major don't get me wrong, however the grading system screwed up my GPA and I lost my scholarship (keep in mind I had straight B's). The advanced program is not worth the stress and panic trust me!!! And if you have an anxiety disorder or depression, the program is not for you and the over exaggerated stress on the grading system isn't worth it."

"Dealing with Quinnipiac administration is worse than the DMV. School is very overpriced. The food is absolute garbage. A student has to go miles up the road to buy anything! They fit the Freshman, four to a room, in a normal size two person dorm room. The campus is pretty like a modern, minimal security prison in the mountains would look like. You have been warned."

"I attended Quinnipiac University all 4 years. It is a beautiful school and great for learning. I enjoyed my time there. The academics were really amazing and really prepared me for obtaining my degree and seeking further education. I felt adequately prepared to attend medical school, but I learned early that this was not my passion or my dream. I knew I wanted to help people but learned that this was not through obtaining a medical degree. The professors are QU worked well to help to find out what my passions were. I was also able ot contact my academic advisor to assist my in my application to graduate school to obtain my MSW."

"Quinnipiac University is known for producing extraordinarily well prepared professionals. As a whole my Quinnipiac education provided me with an in depth and well rounded experience. My Radiological Sciences program has given me many opportunities to grow as a student and as a competitive member within my community. Through a critical analysis of my undergraduate degree I have discovered that not only have I expanded my ability to make decisions but gave me the opportunity to grow my awareness and sensitivity towards diverse customs, beliefs, ideas, religions and cultures. This impacts every aspect of the medical field. Quinnipiac provided me with the skills to recognize problems and acquire, assess and process information to create solutions that may be outside the box. Going to Quinnipiac University for any major is the best thing you can do to jump start your career. Your professors will instill the resources necessary to allow you to create innovative ideas, have the capacity to think with divergence and create a confidence within you to take the first risky steps in order to make necessary changes within the community, nation, or at a global level. While Quinnipiac comes with a big price tag, you will finish your degree knowing that you got your money's worth in education and priceless life skills that other schools can not provide."

"I am still attending the university. It is helping to prepare me for the field of journalism. Classes are taught by university professors as well as outside people that work in the field of journalism that bring a current perspective. I have earned a lot."

"My experience is not unique by any means. Everyone I talk to agrees that they are receiving a high quality education being here. I have always enjoyed the beauty of Quinnipiac University campus! It is such a relaxing environment and you never get bored of looking at that view. I can say that everyone here is so friendly and always willing to help you. The professors are amazing and they will do everything they can to make sure you are understanding the concepts and succeeding academically. Another interesting thing about Quinnipiac is that it has many clubs and organizations available. In this way, each student can definitely find something that matches their hobbies and interests. As a commuter, I was able to get involved is as many activities and clubs that I wanted to. I did not feel like an outsider as a commuter. Quinnipiac also has the best school spirit. There is always an exciting game to go to no matter what the sport."

"The online Master's degree program is subpar compared to other schools. For the cost there should be better facilitating by the professors. Nothing is consistent with any of the work. It's disappointing because this school is expensive. I don't believe my degree is worth the money spent. Definitely could have gotten the same education maybe better and cheaper. Avoid this program at all costs."

"I loved Quinnipiac university. The campus is beautfully located at the base of the Sleeping Giant Mountain overall very asthetically pleasing. The town of Hamden where QU is located is a small town right outside of the city of New Haven which is the home to our rivals Yale! Quinnipiac offers a lot of interesting classes and school spirit. It's hard not to feel bobcat pride with our amazing hockey and basketball teams. Overall really great college experience. I have to say QU has a lot of resources available for their business and nursing students for students with other majors not so much. I had a great college advisor who helped me cope with the stresses of class and really made my overall experience much easier. I still keep in touch with my advisor to this day and is a useful reference when applying to jobs/grad school. I would definetly reccomend QU to students who are looking for colleges!"

"Small university with an excellent reputation! Great faculty who go above and beyond to help you succeed! The cost is higher than your state schools but you will have more individualized attention and smaller class sizes. Speaking with financial counselors can help offset the costs of college, don't be afraid to talk openly and frequently to them."

"The Radiologist Assistant Masters of Health Science program is an exceptional program for any Radiologic technologist that would like to advance their education in the radiology field. The didactic portion of the program prepares students well both clinically and for board examination. Certain classes are integrated with the physician assistant students which makes it a great inter professional learning experience. There is a dedicated imaging suite at the university that includes CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and an angiography suite, with simulations that prepares students to become hands on with procedures before clinical. The clinical affiliations with the program are the most prestige institutions in the Northeast such as Yale New Haven Hospital, Memorial Sloan Kettering, and New York Presbyterian Hospitals. Clinical rotations give students the opportunity to be come competent in a variety of procedures in gastrointestinal, genitourinary, neuroradiology and interventional radiology specialties. Many job opportunities are offered upon graduating from the program as the field is expanding with many institutions seeking for Radiologist Assistants in their departments."

"From the second you step into the glass pane doors you immediately feel immersed in a world of medical marvel. Every square inch of the facility is designed so that students may reach their maximum potential. From the infinite number of private study rooms to the state of the art medical equipment for study purposes, Quinnipiac'a main focus is centered around student overall university experience. Choosing a University and program can be stressful enough, so why not choose one that puts students at the forefront of all they do!"

"The program is intense but the faculty are encouraging and really want you to succeed. The program is based on academic excellence and professionalism which is why their graduates are offered employment opportunities long before graduation approaches. You will be expected to work hard but the reward is worth it. The cost of education is expensive, you are paying for the reputation and quality of this university. I would have liked to see more effort placed into educating students about debt but I suppose this was part of my own responsibility."

"I am a senior going into my graduate year for my MBA at Quinnipiac University. One of my favorite things about my program has been the combination of my bachelors and masters degrees. I have been able to take 10 credits in my senior year that will apply to both my graduate and undergraduate degrees. The majority of my professors have been really great. They have ample experience in their fields and are really motivational. There are however a few professors no and then who are not used to teaching graduate level classes and have a difficult time with the graduate student personality."

"Quinnipiac is a beautiful campus with a passionate staff. They employ many of their alumni and the pride for the Bobcats can be felt across the campuses. It's grown in size tremendously over the past 10 years, but also in reputation."
