Hillsdale College is a liberal arts school that has stayed true to its original, interdisciplinary ideals. While a student at Hillsdale, I was pushed to pursue knowledge for its own sake and appreciate the beauty and connections between fields of study. Though a firm fixture in the science department, I minor in English and took many classes that pushed not only what I thought, but why I thought that way in the first place. Diversity of students may not be a strength, but diversity and rigor of thought is ever-present at this institution.

Hillsdale College is a great place for intelligent students to be challenged both academically and personally. It trains students to be self-reliant and motivated, not expecting handouts.

Hillsdale taught it's students how to think, not what to think. It is known to be a Conservative college, but I saw more viewpoints reflected there than anywhere else.
