"It is an affordable public school option as opposed to where I received my undergraduate degree. However, the content that is being taught in the SSW program is often out dated or misleading. The professors I've discussed my concerns with tend to shy away from conversations regarding content flaws or make up excuses for the continuation of such practices rather than advocating for change. I have found that shocking considering it's a liberal profession in a considerably liberal state and yet it continues to engage in oppressive practices."

"This graduate program is one of the best in the country! It provides the students with hands-on experience, as well as a wide range of educational experiences. This program is staffed by a group of dedicated social services professionals. I am proud to have been accepted into the Master's in Social Work program at Rhode Island College!"

"There are several pros to the graduate program at Rhode Island College School of Social Work. Our professors are helpful and supportive. We have a diversity of students related to race, age, and students' family dynamic. There is a flexibility to the schedule of classesand compared to other graduate programs, tuition is affordable. There are several internships to choose from and the professors are very approachable to talk about questions about their expectations. Although there are many pros, there are a few cons. Personally, I wish they would talk more about developmental disabilities as this is my chosen field of social work. Even though the times of classes are flexible, the overall program for the second year is demanding. It is mandatory that students take two three-hour classes, in addition to, sixteen hour a week internships. There are several single parent and independent adult students who find it difficult to maintain a household financially, give their families needed attention, and fulfill the commitment to thier educational goals."

"The school is very accessible and affordable. The program provides access to professors that are also professionals in the field and work in the community. The internships that are a part of the program give the student the opportunity to gain experience in the field and apply their knowledge and skills in real world setting."
