"Please don’t go here. It’s a waste of money. Many of the professors don’t know what they’re doing - don’t know how to make learning materials or how to answer questions. They don’t accommodate their autistic students properly. They won’t help you find a job. This place is horrible. Worst mistake of my life."

"I didn’t expect to enjoy my time as much as I did at RIT. The school is incredible in every area like academia, social life, and especially the co-op system. I wouldn’t be where I’m at today if it wasn’t for my paid internships which propelled me into my career."

"Getting a BFA in Graphic Design from RIT is the best choice I've made. I loved the program - although challenging and intense, it was extremely fulfilling to achieve a degree from here. It continues to pay off financially. I highly recommend this program at RIT."

"Rochester Institute of Technology is an amazing college, it has plenty of degree programs, which is great especially for someone who went in not knowing what they wanted to study. They have fantastic programs, extracurricular activities, and societies to join. The school provides excellent guidance when a student is searching for the right place to fit in. I had amazing professors int he Criminal Justice program especially."

"I had an amazing time here at RIT. The community is absolutely amazing and really made me feel like home. Being a psychology major at a tech school can be challenging, but I wouldn't have had it any other way. I had a real interest in engineering and technology, which made RIT the perfect fit for me. I was able to take various classes outside of the psychology department, and even joined Hot Wheelz (the only all female formula team in the country). I am also part of the LGBTQ+ community and I am vegan and found RIT to be friendly and accepting for both of these things. The dining halls have vegan options and they even had an LGBTQ+ graduation to allow the community to come together."

"It is a big school, but each department was small and class sizes were reasonable. Professors still got to know you despite the overall size. It is also close to many stores, but not in the heart of the city."

"I was part of the Fast Track MBA program. It was an intensive one year program which covered all the core classes during the summer in 2 week blocks and then continued as normal for the more advanced courses. One of the best parts of the curriculum was that it included a trip to Prague where we toured various businesses to see how they are run."

"No matter how many reviews you read about schools and colleges, it all boils down to you. How much you are passionate and willing to dedicate yourself to a major will help you decide on where and what you want to do. It all depends on you and how you decide to make out of it. To me, RIT was the one. Attending RIT for BFA in Visual Media Photography was one of my best decision. It had the best flexibility of different courses that I could take. It helped me be able to have a sample taste of different variety "flavors" of class. Through this, after receiving my BFA I realized I wanted to further my education by applying for Master's in Visual Communication Design. I studied Visual Media Photography which is a creative hybrid of graphic design and photography with a hint of coding and marketing. This was so broad, that I wanted to concentrate on visual communication. That is how it lead me to apply for Masters at RIT. RIT itself is different from other colleges/universities. If you are a nerd or you like pokemon, etc no one judges you, because everyone accepts each other for who they are. It is a technology school where people try different experiment and learn and help each other. RIT provides the best for their students and is always there to help those in need when asked. The engineer majors at RIT requires a 5 year program because they need a Internship/Co-op. That way they have better chance of being hired right after graduation. Many incoming freshmen may not know what they want, and I believe that is all right. You can try different classes and courses and then transfer. A lot of my friends are actually transfers from a community college and they love RIT even more then students who came to RIT right away. Hope this helped to those who wanted some insight. Good Luck!"

"Ever since I walked through those doors, I felt liberated. I cannot believe how much support, guidance, and love all the staff regulated to me on a daily basis. When I wanted to quit, someone wasn't too far to lift me back up again. I came in wanting to excel in the corporate world, and came out excelling in both the corporate world and my personal life. I recommend this school to any and every student looking to succeed in life. You want to change your world for the better? This is the place!"

It can be challenging, but very rewarding and full of personal growth. So grateful I had the opportunity to attend RIT for my undergraduate studies. "Rochester Institute of Technology is a very diverse community. The campus is an excellent place to get a great education. The staff and faculty are extremely helpful, and truly want you to learn. The classes are of average difficulty, and help is available when needed. Professors have decent office hours, allowing for office visits throughout the week. The student learning center is a great resource if you are struggling with a course, or just need help studying. The athletic facilities are state of the art. They have an indoor track, weight room, racquetball courts, and much more. Exercise equipment can be checked out for free, and there is plenty of room to do your thing."

"MS in Applied Statistics offered by RIT attracts me as one of its concentrations is Data Mining/Machine Learning. That's exactly what I am interested in! Here I build algorithms that touch the cutting edge of machine learning and carry out more accurate forecast of trends to extract meaningful statistics from data. I can gain practical experience in possible independent project opportunities and professional insights from conferences and lectures given by experts. I hope to bring my passion and vitality as well as exchange cool ideas with a group of like-minded people. I love and enjoy my life in RIT."
