"Rockhurst University provided a wonderful liberal arts degree program that allowed for flexibility of coursework and excellent student to instructor ratios. At the time, their ability to accept transfer credit greatly influenced my decision to attend. The admission's staff were able to answer all my questions. Available scholarships and work study positions were added bonuses. The reputation of the university in the Kansas City area still holds true."

"Great program. Professors were great. It was rigorous and relevant to what I would be doing as a teacher. Instead of being fed a bunch of useless information, I was able to actually apply what I learned. Would highly recommend this program, especially if you can handle a fast pace."

"Rockhurst University is the kind of school that prepares you in every aspect possible for the real world. The professors and staff members truly care about each individual student, and that becomes clear to you from the first day of school visits. Rockhurst University has a wonderful reputation and that name in itself carries a lot of weight, which is important when beginning your job search."

"The MBA program at Rockhurst University is one of a kind. The professors are great and the classes are interesting. The majority of classes are not formatted as a lecture, but rather a discussion with some lecture from the teacher. This style was much more conducive for learning for myself and everyone else I talked to. I could not be more pleased with the results."

"My Rockhurst University experience exposed me to new and different people and ideas. I had some excellent professors whose work caused me to dramatically alter my understanding of the world. My classes were small and personal, which was perfect for me."

"Pros: Incorporates self-reflection with the study, which really makes the new material, experience, and flaws your own. Which creates an understanding of the subject not just facts and knowledge. The teachers are very competent, approachable, and challenges students to in and out of class Cons:Scholarships are limited. This school mainly offers loans. The facility is old and need renovation. New technology needs to be put in."

"The pros of Rockhurst's OT program is that the master's program is shortened so it is only two years instead of three. Another pro is that the faculty are OTs who have a lot of experience in the field which help them teach and relate the materials to real world situations. They do a nice job of teaching the basis of OT like the models and how to write goals and notes. They also give us a diverse look at OT and set up the curriculum to resemble the NBCOT exam with pediatrics being the last thing taught. A con about the program would the cost of Rockhurst graduate programs and how we are required, because of the shortened time, to go to class over the summer. Another con would be the lack of free time and social life outside of the program, even though they are preparing you for real life. As far as cons go, the biggest one is the price of tuition and how Rockhurst is located in the middle of Kansas City so housing prices are not the most affordable."

"Great program for those looking to succeed in a physical therapy career. The teachers are very hands-on and are investing in your future and success. What I see as most beneficial is that Rockhurst is one of the few schools to offer a dual MBA degree along with a DPT for those looking for a career in management or opening their own PT clinic."

"Great program. It is actually offered as a dual-degree program along with a DPT which is perfect for myself and others planning on opening up their own PT clinic or PT management. Hours are very flexible and usually only take two classes a semester in eight week blocks. Faculty is great and are easy to work with and are very great at communicating when they are off campus."

"Pros- Great teachers who are always willing to help if you need it and who also are willing to work around your schedule if absolutely necessary. At Rockhurst, you really feel as though you are part of a family. It is a small school so you get to know both your fellow students and the teachers on a more personal level since you are around them all the time. Well rounded education. Not only does the MBA focus on your chosen specific focus, but they also give you a great education in other parts of business and teach you all the fundamental things that should be taught. Cons- Since it is a small school the resources are limited compared to what a big school would have. The program is very much based on groups and this is a great thing in the business world but sometimes a group project does not necessarily work out the best as people are sometimes hard to work with."

"The course work is hard but not too overwhelming. Everyone is ready to help the students and I really feel like the teachers are getting us ready for the real world of PT not just telling us things for tests."

"I definately choose the right school to pursue my DPT program. It is expensive but the quality of academics, the accessibility of professors and the friendliness of the students is perfect. It is incredible and if I could do it all over again I would not change anything."

"I have benefitted so much from my short time at Rockhurst in the MBA program. The classes are competitive and very professional, but I'm never afraid to ask questions or get help. The professional coaches they have for each student is something I've never had before. Even though I'm early in the program, I can already tell how much my professional coach is going to benefit me. She gives me great advice and helps me think about my future career goals and how I can achieve them. The only con for this program is the location. I feel safe every time I walk to my car and we get security emails if any incidences happen on campus. I feel proud to say I go to school at Rockhurst University and I can't wait until I can tell people I have my MBA."

"It's a great school and a great place to live. However, like any graduate program, it's expensive. This cost of living is significantly higher in the Kansas City area and getting to and from school occurs during rush hour traffic."

"At Rockhurst University, I feel as though the professors are willing to help you as much as possible to reach your career goals. The campus is not located in the most safe area, however, the campus security and security phones on campus make me feel more safe. Overall, I think that Rockhurst is a great University and the professors are committed to making their students the best they can be. The occupational therapy program is very intense and requires a lot of outside work. I believe that the education at Rockhurst will prepare me in the future as an occupational therapist."

"Rockhurst is an excellent university for an Occupational Therapy education. The faculty is very supportive, cares about the students, and experts in the field. The university is not in the best part of town for safety, and it is difficult to find affordable, decent, and safe places to live very close to campus. The program is very demanding and not cheap. You can take out loans, but scholarship and grant options are limited."
