"After finishing the biological sciences program at Rowan University, I would personally recommend it to future biological students. First of all, I would recommend the program due to their hands on approach in the lab, their plethra of qualified professors, and their small class sizes. In my opinion, an optimal method of learning is actually performing the labs yourself and seeing the information you're learning in the book before your eyes. For example, in my organic classes, one could learn the reactions by only doing them on paper. However, the labs helped to reinforce the material when I saw the product being created during lab. In terms of professors, my experience has been very good. Rowan hires knowledgeable professors in their respective fields and mixing this with the small class sizes allows me to recieve one-on-one help from someone who really knows what they are talking about. I'm not suprised that Rowan University has been growing significantly over the past number of years and I believe this trend has been due to their commitment to improve their programs."

"The History department at Rowan University is one of the best departments in my opinion. The professors are more than approachable and are always willing to guide and help their students when or if they struggle with the material or research. Although some of the courses and professors are a bit challenging, it is only because they expect every student to fully dedicate themselves to every assignment and want to see all students to their best. The History Department really helped shaped my college experience and I would not have it any other way."

"Rowan University is an excellent University to complete your undergraduate career. The Psychology department is full of knowledgeable, competent and dedicated professors who understand the materials they are teaching. Dr.Kerth the head of the department is beyond wonderful and made my transition into the Psycyhology department seamless."

"Overall, Rowan University was able to prove me with a well rounded education. The Chemistry & Biochemistry department offered plenty of resources to gain experience such as in research, which benefits anyone looking to go into research or industry. There are multiple opportunities to get involved and learn hands on while still gaining a valuable education. As the school has gone through a reorganization with the addition of the graduate school in Stradford, it has opened up even more opportunities to further education. In addition, the classroom sizes for the sciences courses were size, which aids in learning and networking. The size of the class was definitely a factor for me, I learn better in smaller class environments because you have more opportunity to ask questions and be recognized by the professor. I would recommend this school to any individual looking to go into Chemistry or Biochemistry."

"Rowan isn't a horrible school, but there are things that don't make it a great school. To begin there is a lack of diversity. I have never felt more like a minority more than I do at Rowan. Next the are not very transfer student friendly. A lot of information that I have found was by another student what is unfortunate is that I have attended many of the workshops, yet I still felt like i didn't know anything. The advisers are overworked and overwhelmed with students and its obvious. Sometimes you;ll have to schedule months in advance to meet with someone. They have a lot of great events such as career fairs, school events and weekly events--but again for some of these you have to be in the know to know. I would recommend Rowan to freshmen, but not to transfer students,"

"Rowan University provides opportunities for students. Located thirty minutes from Philadelphia, Rowan University has created relationships with many companies in the area. The size of the school has grown rapidly over the past couple of years and has added various graduate level degrees. There are still some issues accommodating the increasing size of the university, however in the next couple years these issue should be resolved. The surrounding area of the university is not very exciting. Some majors within the university have more funding and resources. A large focus of the university is the engineering programs and receives the most attention. The school has an active student body that allows students to become involved in the community through their own personal interests. The school does a good job of making everybody feel welcome and addresses issues regarding discrimination or injustice. I choose to go to Rowan University because of the price and size of the school. I was happy with my choice and over the four years I spent there I was able to explore and grow as a person and as a student. Rowan University provides opportunities for students socially and academically as long as you take advantage of them."

"Rowan is a great and warm school in southern New Jersey. I was challenged academically as a STEM major, however, the extracurricular opportunities I was offered at Rowan are what helped me stand out as a candidate in the post graduate world. Through student clubs and compassionate advisors I formed a solid and well rounded base with great interpersonal and leadership skills many others did not have."

"Academics were okay. Some professors really cared while others were clearly riding that sweet tenure wave. While I learned a fair amount, I didn't get enough real world experience either. However, I can't recommend this school based on living conditions. There is no parking for commuters and there's a lack of housing. As time went on, more crime would happen as I would get weekly e-mail notifications about a burglary, assault, or other violence. The wifi is pretty bad as well, and this hurts when you have an assignment due that needs to be turned online. There are not enough sections for junior/senior level classes, so I took a few courses that I did not care for either."

"I enjoyed all my professors and they all had a very good understanding of the subject matter. Also the campus life was very enjoyable. I usually suggest Rowan to all my friends thinking about going to school for public relations."
