"I love Rutgers Law. It's complex and has its flaws, but I love the education I've received. I moved from Kansas to New Jersey for school and wouldn't change my experience at all. Within my first week I felt right at home at a school so tremendously dedicated to social justice. The professors are wonderful. The courses offered are spectacular. It's really a great place."

"Diverse, challenging, yet friendly and collegial. Great deans and faculty-- very caring. Great financial aid department, and numerous merit-based 2L and 3L scholarships to reward good 1L performance. Location is historically quiet/shabby, but it is getting drastically better such that one can walk to the train stations. Definitely okay to live on campus-- Halsey Street is quite nice! Transit availability is great."

"Nowhere will you find a law school as rich in diversity as Rutgers. The network is vast, the faculty will astound you with their extensive knowledge and experience (but humble approachability). There is always something to do, whether a purely social gathering or an enlightening debate on some political controversy. Students and faculty are extremely liberal, sometimes to the detriment of conservative students and the flow of a balanced discussion. It's Newark, so walking alone at night is unwise, but public transportation is abundant. The surrounding poverty, though an obvious contributor to the moderately high crime rate, provides ample opportunity for pro bono and community-oriented legal work. If your expectations are low, you will be pleasantly surprised. If your expectations are high, they'll be easily met by this high-quality diamond-in-the-rough institution."

"The cost for the quality of education is great, especially when there is a law school down the street that charges double the tuition."

"The only con is that the area is not as safe as it can be, but the program overall is excellent!"

"Pros: extremely affordable Cons: located in Newark, high crime area, surrounding area does not have much dining options."
