"One of the reasons why I choose Saint Joseph's is because of Pope Francis visit in 2015 and the Jesuit ideals. Saint Joseph's has a motto "Live Greater" and this is an additional reason why I wanted to attend. Healthcare Administration is a field I am greatly passionate about. My focus is low socio - economic urban communities and vulnerable populations. My goal is to decrease health disparities within these populations and help to extend life expectancies within these neighborhoods. Thank you for your consideration for this scholarships."

"The Health Administration graduate program at St. Joseph's University not only provides me with specific courses in the field I love, but it has definitely expanded my network! I'm fortunate enough to live in the same city as this great university, so I decided to take advantage of the on-campus program. The classes have been fairly small thus far (10 - 12 people) so we get individualized attention and we get to bounce ideas off of other budding administrators who are already working in the health care environment. Most of the faculty members are also full-time executives so we are learning from people who are putting these skills into practice every day. It is tough sometimes to juggle full-time work with the 5-week summer classes, but it's a great exercise in prioritizing and time management."

"Going to grad school forced me to leave my comfort zone and take a big risk after college. Although my program is online, it still gave me the chance to form close relationships and have different experiences, and they have been invaluable. It also gave me the opportunity to truly specialize. Even in college, getting your bachelor's degree involves satisfying a lot of general requirements that you're not especially interested in. Grad school was the first time in my academic career that I had the chance to truly dive into a field that I loved.I like to believe that any employer worth its salt will recognize that, regardless of the field, a graduate degree is proof of a prospective employee's ability to commit to and successfully execute a huge project that requires a ton of discipline, grunt work, and real skill to pull off. The only con I would add, is the difficulty working full time and keeping up with the complex workload. On the other hand, this combination has improved my time management skills, and I like to say it keeps me on my toes!"

"Online program is great. You set your own study hours and you work at your own pace. But, make sure you don't fall behind in your work because it can be overwhelming."
