"I attended the Pharmaceutical Marketing MBA program, which was mostly online but featured a few 3 day residencies at conference centers in the Philadelphia area. The program itself is well known in the pharma industry, and the university is able to draw decent (but not great) industry speakers into the classroom on occasion. As others have said, most of the professors were pretty knowledgeable. However, the case studies they used were very out of date and so the mindset was stuck in the 1990s Rx/White Pill mentality that is not relevant to today's specialty-focused industry dynamics. I found most of the professors very accessible, and I would definitely encourage anyone entering this program to take advantage of it. The problem I ran into was the lack of communication and engagement post-graduation. I tried on numerous occasions to interact with my professors and program leadership after I got my MBA to speak to students and help update course material by perhaps becoming an adjunct professor, and was rebuffed/blown off consistently. I got the impression that this program was really just designed to get cohorts educated, out the door and forgotten about as quickly as possible so the next "herd" could be brought in to repeat the cycle. It's unfortunate that this program's leadership doesn't leverage its alumni to help build the future of the program. But, I should say, these same professors never hesitated to reach out when THEY needed something from ME. And of course let's not forget about the alumni donation process (that worked very well!). It's really sad to see a once-tremendous, cutting edge, and respected program age so badly."

"The quality of instruction was very hit and miss: some instructors were quite professional, with thorough knowledge of their field of study and an eager desire to share it with their students, but others were resistant to provide any help or clarification, even if asked politely. The Psychology department does not have a prestigious reputation: one professor told me that they are far more used to being rejected by students than they are with rejecting student applications. If you are looking for emotional support while going through the rigors of a degree program, this is not a good option either: one experience left a strong mark on me. I would not recommend this program."

"SJU has a smaller campus located in West Philadelphia. The campus itself is beautiful but the surrounding area is decent, if you go one way on City Ave there are mansions but if you go the other way its the ghettos. Students at SJU are very involved, with 90% of students participating in some sort of community service. The classes are generally small sized, and for the most part the professors are approachable and nice. In terms of health science majors, I felt that the options for classes and times were limited compared to bigger schools. SJU is a close knit community so most of the social aspect depends on what you are involved in, who you connect with in class, or if you are in Greek life. There is no football team so no tailgating or anything, but they have a decent basketball team that students will go to see. Most of the action as an upperclassman is in Manayunk on the bars on main street or house parties off campus. The students at Saint Joe's are very homogenous, being mostly white richer Catholic kids, many of which went to private high school. It is mandatory to live on campus the first two years but after then a lot of students move into Manayunk, which is about a 15 min drive from campus. SJU is definitely more of a business school, with most people majoring in accounting, finance and marketing. Overall, I enjoyed my time at Saint Joe's, I personally would've preferred a bigger campus but everyone is very nice at this school and the actual education provided is very good!"

"Saint Joseph's was a great school that helped me in many ways with regards to learning more about humanities and becoming a worldly individual. Although my overall experience was not excellent, it was a good choice for undergraduate that offered many positive experiences. I'm happy that I attended Saint Joseph's as it was how I met many of best friend and close colleagues who are open-minded and caring individuals. The culture is very friendly and open; people have a certain warmth to them there."

"Saint Joseph's professors we're always available to guide and help with any questions. My liberal arts degree prepared me to understand different cultures that I currently work with. It also prepared me for graduate school by providing me with excellent writing skills, researching skills and professional courtesy!"

"As someone who already works in the industry, I signed up purely to get the piece of paper, so I was under no disillusion of what I was getting myself into. Still, I wasn't prepared for the overpriced nonsense that was to follow. For those curious, this was the "Business Analytics" graduate degree program which included "data mining" and "data science" concepts. 1) The entire curriculum is obsolete - introduced concepts from the 90's as if they were new (OLAP, Visual Basic). Also, is spending multiple weeks talking about the difference in primary key vs foreign composite keys really helpful in the real world? 2) The professors are low quality - the 1 hour spent teaching regression was taught incorrectly because the professor was ignorant to the mathematical concepts. Some professors barely care. All professors just go through the motions, setting up hoops that you need to jump through, but none of it really contains what I'd call content. Also, when I downloaded a copy of the syllabus to submit for tuition reimbursement, the metadata in the document showed that the the author was actually a different professor from Villanova. Would that violate their own academic honesty policy? 3) No systems support - when it came time for the 2 weeks of learning hardtop, neither the professor nor the school knew exactly how the technology worked, so students simply submitted screenshots of error messages as proof that they tried. Poor professor was left with zero support of how to setup a hadtop platform. 4) Blackboard & Alecks platforms - enough said I'd write more, but I have to get back to posting my required 450 word per week "discussion" over in the class forums that's worth 30% of my grade."

"One of the reasons why I choose Saint Joseph's is because of Pope Francis visit in 2015 and the Jesuit ideals. Saint Joseph's has a motto "Live Greater" and this is an additional reason why I wanted to attend. Healthcare Administration is a field I am greatly passionate about. My focus is low socio - economic urban communities and vulnerable populations. My goal is to decrease health disparities within these populations and help to extend life expectancies within these neighborhoods. Thank you for your consideration for this scholarships."

"I currently attend the online Masters in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Behavior Analysis program at Saint Joseph's University. I really like the program! Before starting, I was a little worried about the online only thing but I knew that it was my only option. However, now that I am in the program I have no clue what I was worried about. The courses have been very interactive; the professors are always available and I do not feel that I am missing out on the in-class experience. Also, I really like that my advisor is always there when I need her, she always points me in the right direction and make sure that I am taking full advantage of the services and supports offered by the university. I really love the program and would recommend it to everyone!"

"The pros include options for informatics tract but I feel that the online learning environment really could use improvement. The price has gone up per credit by sizeable amounts every year and there is a hugh turnover of teaching staff. I have had multiple classes where the "professor" is brand new and really has little concept of the class content or format. Many outdated curriculum issues experienced."

"The professional MBA graduate program at SJU is great for a busy individual like myself. I am able to take as many or as little classes as I need and can form the schedule that suits me. I enjoy having the option for both online and in person classes and have gained something from both experiences. The faculty and staff at the university are always beyond helpful and place high value on your success. They want to see every student achieve their goals. After talking with many universities and different students across the country, I have found this is not the case every where else. I am lucky to have the network of SJU and everything else that comes with being a Hawk!"
