"As a busy working professional, I knew I needed to find a master's degree that was flexible and efficient. I wanted to be challenged educationally and to end my degree with an impactful level of added knowledge and value. The content we covered in the MLD was presented in a way that I could immediately begin utilizing it at work. It was relatable and useful. I was not looking for another dime-a-dozen MBA program. I wanted to know how business and leadership could be used in a variety of settings and how I fit into those settings through developing my own 'toolbox" of knowledge and understanding. The accelerated 1-year program let me really buckle down and invest in my future career. Earning my master's in just 12 months will allow me to advance more quickly. The MLD was the perfect fit. The connections I made through the cohort model have been invaluable. Motivated and talented professionals from education, healthcare, government, not-for-profit organizations, military, small businesses and more build a strong network through the in-person weekends that you can learn from and lean on. Both personally and professionally, I know I made the right choice in pursuing my Master of Leadership Development."

"Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College is a unique place in that it is a small College, therefore faculty and staff know each of their students well and provide quality feedback and help. Everyone at the college is available and willing to help students with all issues. There is a sense of culture unlike I have ever seen before, a welcoming environment whose focus is on spirituality and the heritage of where it all began. Sister Mother Theodore Guerin founded this College in 1840 and the history and beauty of her struggles is very rich and seen throughout the campus every day. This College is a place where shy students learn to grow, surrounded by strong support the entire way. It is a small, welcoming place where students learn who they really are before going out in the world and doing great things."

"My time at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods was instrumental as my career as a music therapist. I had just started my professional life, but I felt that I was not as prepared as I had hoped. When I arrived at SMWC for my first residency, I knew I had made the right choice. The faculty that taught my courses at SMWC were qualified, renowned, and compassionate. I highly recommend my school every time someone speaks about furthering their education, or beginning their career in music therapy."

"As the only accredited Art Therapy program available on-line, SMWC was a god-send! If not for SMWC, I would never be moving forward with my dreams and aspirations. This is the greatest pro in my mind. The small student to teacher ratio and the cohort model gives you a feeling of closeness and a built in network to grow from. The only downside is the expense, but, overall, the costs of their online graduate programs are very competitive with traditional on-campus graduate programs."

"My particular distance learning program has it's communication issues but it does provide an alternative option for those who are unable to relocate for grad school. Although, the 3x/yr residency visits can be expensive, the education provided is extremely beneficial."
