"I love Seton Hall University School of Law! It is a close, tight-knit community where you really come to know and love all of your classmates and professors. It is a lot of work -- but that is only because the education is incredible. After all, it is law school, so a heavy workload is inescapable. Seton Hall really cares about its students and will do anything to help them succeed!"

"Seton Hall Law has a tremendous quality that you don't often find in the law school environment: SHU-Law is a family. You compete against classmates, but in the end, you work together. Everyone works hard and generally hopes for the best for each colleague in the future."

"I am only in my 1L year, so it is a bit premature to speculate on my entire law school year at this point. I would say that the pros are definitely an enthusiastic and caring faculty and staff, friendly and responsive classmates and colleagues, and a manageable workload that is challenging yet not utterly overwhelming. As for the cons, the location is not ideal. Although the law school building itself is beautiful and state of the art, the surrounding Newark area leaves much to be desired. The cost of attendance is also extremely expensive, the tuition and living expenses. Most students commute either form home or a surrounding suburb and you must factor in parking costs or daily train costs as a cost of living."

"Great school located in Newark, NJ. While the location is not great, the proximity to NYC is great. The law school's network is very large in NJ and the Career Services are very active in helping students."

"Overall, Seton Hall Law offers a great program! Aside from being the best law school in New Jersey and one of the best in the country, the school is offers a large variety of networking opportunities and activities/student organizations that really encourage students to assimilate into the community. There isn't a great opportunity for social life outside of the school environment and the workload is enormous; but that comes with being a law student! However, the school definitely encourages student involvement and a very friendly and welcoming environment. The only real downside is the cost. The great education comes with a serious price tag and, accompanied with the high interest rates of government loans, leave students with an overwhelming amount of debt. The job market is not exceptionally good for attorneys now, especially with many people and companies opting to go with paralegals or outsourced legal help, so paying back all that debt will be a serious burden!"

"Law school is by far the best education anyone can achieve. Doing so at Seton Hall is difficult, but very self-rewarding. Despite its location in Newark (high crime, bad traffic), the faculty is unmatched and the community is one of a kind. Those two attributes aren't typically found both in the same law school."

"No diversity, horrible legal writing program, administration is not supportive in any way. Faculty is very considerate and very supportive inside and outside of classrooms."
