"Many have viewed Shaw University in a negative light but for me it was one of the greatest choices I made. Attending a small private school where professors know you by name even after you finish their class makes it welcoming. The professors at Shaw want their students to succeed. Whether you are a Freshman or Senior, they will guide you as if you were their own child. I may not be speaking for all students but for me I know I had some really great professors and mentors at Shaw University. I complained about how I couldn't stand Shaw while I was a student there but once graduation came everything changed. The professors who gave me a difficult time or I thought didn't care about me were the same ones who held me tight and told me how proud they were of me. They were the same professors I saw tear up when they watched us walk across that stage. I have been to many graduations but the love and care you receive at this University is like no other."
