"SUA is a bit of a strange campus, being so new, but that's part of the charm. It's still finding out how to work things and how to appease its students, and it's honestly such a great place to be. It really makes me question ethics, purpose, and politics. While it is a liberal/progressive leaning school, that doesn't mean people aren't willing to debate about issues. There IS dissonance and that's necessary on a campus so small. Then again, how could we not have many differing opinions when our campus is a microcosm? I will admit the city around SUA is pretty boring, but the shuttle, OC Flex, and the every-friday shuttle to the Irvine Spectrum help give some variety. There are also a lot of things to do on campus. I really like my classes and I genuinely love learning Japanese for my impending study abroad in Japan (no extra cost). It requires a lot of hard work, but coming to this school is something I definitely don't regret. It's a really lovely campus and I feel like it's a great place to work with less distractions. There are a lot of work opportunities for everyone on campus so people don't have to be worried about earning money. Classes are difficult, but they're definitely rewarding. I'm just excited to see where this campus takes me."

"Small class size made me think who I am and what I can do to improve this society as a person. Most professors are really friendly, and they are always willing to help students. Mandatory study abroad program is one of the most popular characteristic of Soka, and as an International student, going to the US and studying abroad to another country broaden my future options and gave an opportunity to grow as a person."

"SOKA University is an amazing opporunity for those who are able to attend. The financial aid opportunities aren't comparable to any other university in the country, as they are privately funded through various institutions and receive thousands of dollars dedicated to helping students attend and afford this school. With the small student to professor ratio of 1-12, the students feel as though they are truly cared for and known, not just a number within a classroom. The community on the campus is amazing, with students having respect for each others property and each other, it is a great place to go for 4 years (everyone graduates in 4 years). Soka REQUIRES that every student study abroad for a semester within their Junior year to a country who's native language is the language that the students studied the previous two year. This creates literal once in a lifetime opportunities for all students that attend this university that should be taken full advantage of if accepted."
