"Southeastern Oklahoma State University was an amazing place to go to school. I was a double major throughout my time here and learned so much from my professors. Instructors were extremely kind and understanding throughout my entire experience. I am now in graduate school at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. My graduate program focuses on clinical mental health counseling and is also fantastic. I definitely believe that this school should be considered for anyone that is wanting to further their education or earn a degree."

"I took my MBA courses fully online - all of them used Blackboard to deliver the course contents. I felt that the courses themselves were well structured and academically challenging. I did not find that the professors interacted much with the students; for most of the classes, there were hired "coaches" - some with doctorate degrees and some without - who handled any manual grading of submitted work, as well as any questions asked by the students. The quality of the academic program is not why I have an issue with the school...I felt they were great. I did, however, have tons of issues with the administration, starting with the fact that I wasn't given any sort of degree plan to follow by my adviser, causing me to miss enrolling in a class only offered in the Spring semester, which delayed my graduation date. In addition, I completed one course with > 90% of the points listed in both Blackboard and in the course syllabus, but when I looked at my transcript, I was given a C. I notified my professor and the head of the department...it's 2 months later and they still have not corrected my grade. Anytime I email for a status update, I get an email from the professor saying "I"m looking at it right now" but nothing ever changes. Maybe I was expecting too much from the administration, or too little of myself, but my I remember my undergrad adviser being VERY involved with making sure I gathered the credits I needed to graduate, so I'm a little irritated that I don't even get canned emails as interaction. That being said, the tuition is one of the cheaper ones out there for an MBA, so if you can manage to get enrolled in the correct classes and given the correct grades, it's worth the money.UPDATE (8/9/2018): As of today, the issue with my grade has been resolved, with apologies from the department chair."

"The university located in Durant Oklahoma is a great location to get a degree. All of my professors were friendly and eager to help with any problems I may have had. Unlike a larger universtery SOSU has a small class size so teachers are able to connect with students more making lectures more interesting than a larger campus"

"The pros of my graduate program are that it is delivered in an online format that fits my busy professional lifestyle. I also have a direct line of communication with the department chair and my professors to maximize my success. In addition to that, I really appreciate the affordability of the University. The cons are simple. Because I am an Online Student, it is really difficult to do everything at long distance. I would love to actually have the ability to step on campus, but unfortunately that's not possible because of where I live."

"I am working with a professor who values a quality education and hands on work to gain a better understanding of the subject. I am required to always put forth 110%, but with guided help when needed this is not hard to accomplish. My time is not wasted on classes that I have already taken. The program is technically a degree in technology in biology, so I am required to take an IT class or two which is not my ideal type of class. I am happy overall with how my program is set up and the professor I get to work with."

"Tell us about your college experience. The school was a great fit, 85 miles from home and everyone was generally kind and welcoming. Proud of my college.Would you get the same degree if you could start over?Writing/Journalism related. What advice can you offer other students?Enjoy it, but don't waste college, don't party too much and choose what you study carefully."

"Pros: Southeastern has done a phenomenal job with there staff friendliness and advising. I also appreciate they offer programs other Universities do not such as Occupational Health and Safety. Cons: I do think the could could use more updating in the campus life and leadership offices and campus involvement."

"The Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program at SOSU in CACREP accredited and has a very reasonable tuition. Being a non-traditional full time college student with two adopted special needs teens, "bang for my buck" is very important. The faculty is extremely accessible and invested."

"The pros of the Southeastern Oklahoma State University masters program for Athletic Administration, is that the material covered in most courses keeps you engaged and challenges you. The pros of the program are that a few of the courses struggle with the dashboard portion of the assignments."
