"The professors at Southern welcome students of all experience levels, and help individuals achieve their professional goals. The program encourages students to explore various public health issues, and then critically analyze the problems and potential solutions. The program and professors are flexible so students can tailor their assignments to personal interests, which is appreciated by many. I participated in an international course in Guatemala, and was profoundly impacted and humbled by my experiences. I notice my personal intellectual and emotional growth, and I believe this program has contributed to my self confidence. "I am into the first month of the Master of a Public Health program at Southern Connecticut State University. This program courses will teach the necessary tools of promoting, improving and maintaining the public's health. Although, I am only one month into the program both classes, Foundation of Public Health and Public Health Research Methods, have been interesting and stimulating and has allowed me to take back what I have learned so far and apply it to the work I currently in the public health field."
