"The Master's in Social Work program at Southern Connecticut State University is an incredible program that I highly suggest to anyone interested in pursuing an MSW degree. The professors are extremely knowledgeable about the courses they are teaching and work with students to work through any difficulties or confusion they may have. SCSU requires MSW students to complete an internship each year - and finds placements for every student in the first year, which is helpful in decreasing the stress of starting a new program. Although they encourage students to not work full time while enrolled in the program due to the heavy class/internship schedule, they offer night and weekend classes to fit almost any schedule. SCSU has the lowest tuition in the area - which is also a huge positive when comparing to other local schools (UConn, Quinnipiac, etc.)."

"Pros: Incredible internship experiences and a couple professors who almost make the cost of the entire education worth it. Cons: Completely unwilling to compromise (incredibly harsh and opposed to graduate students remaining employed) while providing minimal education not already obtained in undergraduate school supplemented with a grotesque amount of busy work."

"This grad program has given me the opportunity to accomplish my educational goals while being a single mother with a full-time job. The school community has created an exceptional support system for all students on and off campus."

"This program has changed my life in many positive ways. My peers, professors, and supervisors have been amazingly supportive and encouraging. There are always things about a program that can be tweeked and changed for the better, but I am incredibly grateful to have been given this opportunity and look forward to graduating next year."
